We learn from studying the Bible that we were born under sin and in sin.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Galatians 3:22

David of old said: “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” Psalm 51:5

We were born separated from God.

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have his his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:2

We were born blinded to the provisions of God.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4:4

We are alienated from the life of God.

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart. Ephesians 4:18

We can be saved by God’s unexplainable, matchless grace.
