“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1 ......................... "This is the Stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the Head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-12 ...................... Matchless Savior Author Unknown - Tune: "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" - C. Converse 1. Precious Savior, friend of sinners We, as such, to Thee draw near Let Thy Spirit dwell within us With that love that casts out fear. Matchless Savior, let us know Thee As the Lord our Righteousness, Cause our hearts to cleave unto Thee Come, and with Thy presence bless. 2. Open now Thy precious treasure Let Thy word here freely flow, Give to us a gracious measure `Tis Thyself we long to know. Come and claim us as Thy portion Let us all find rest in Thee, Leave us not to empty notions We would find our hope in Thee! .................................... PEACE "These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33 The Lord Jesus Christ by His vicarious death effectually reconciled His people to God. Now in the experience of grace in regeneration we enjoy this peace inwardly by His omnipotent Spirit. The means whereby we obtain and experience this peace is by God revealing Christ to us in His Word. This peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:7. This is a covenant promise of our sovereign God. The sin of this flesh (which we hate), the evils of this world, the troubles and cares of this life must bow and succumb to the reigning Prince of Peace, our Lord Jesus Christ. This is not to say that we will not have tribulation as we live in this flesh in the world. Our Lord says we will - "In the world ye shall have tribulation". But never forget in the next breath He says - "but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Only that which is learned by experience is really learned and is of any profit or benefit to our souls. To know of the peace of God is of utmost importance. However, to experience the presence of Christ Who is our peace is of infinite value. The Lord Jesus Christ has conquered every enemy of our souls here in this life and satisfied the just demands of Almighty God in all eternity being our Substitute and Sacrifice. It is a promise of God our Father that we will have tribulation. You can count on it. It is a promise of our God as well that in Christ His people shall have and experience peace and rest. You can count on it! The foundation of this blessed peace is not mere presumption but rather the glorious person and the perfect work of the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 --Pastor Tommy Robbins
............................................ Our ALL in ALL Looking at my sin, I see Christ as my atonement and only Christ. Looking at God's Law, I see Christ as my righteousness, my only righteousness. I'm not making up what I can't provide; He is my only righteousness. Looking at God's justice, He is my justification. Looking at death, He is my life. Looking at the grave, He is my resurrection. Looking at eternity, He is my hope. –Pastor Henry Mahan
............................................. Two Religions There are really only two religions in the world. One of Cain and the other of Abel. One of Ishmael and the other of Isaac. One of Esau and the other of Jacob. One of law and the other of promise. One of Mount Sinai and the other of Mount Calvary. One condemns, the other finds no fault. One leads to bondage, the other to freedom. One tendeth to death, the other to life. One of weakness, the other of power. One of merit, the other of mercy. One of the weakness of the letter, the other of the power of the Spirit. --Anonymous
