What things in a Persons life brings about insecurity?

1. Failures from the Past- Moses had a difficult time in accepting his role as leader because of past failure. Exodus 3:11 (KJV) And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? Moses does not want to get involved because he was clinging to a past failure.

1. Flawed in your life’s Potential- Gideon was called to hide behind the winepress. Not strong enough, Not smart enough. Judges 6:11-15 (KJV)
   ¹¹ And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

Overcoming Insecurity

1. Secure in Your Person- God made you who you are, He knows you will struggle, and He cares for you. Moses who made your mouth. Exodus 4:11 (KJV)
   ¹¹ And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

Psalm 103:13-14 (KJV)
¹³ Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
¹⁴ For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

1. Secure in Your Purpose- Revelation 4:11 (KJV)
   ¹¹ Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

1. Secure in Poor Parents- Psalm 68:5-6 (KJV)
   ⁵ A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
   ⁶ God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. Psalm 27:10 (KJV)
