The unconditional justification of sinners for salvation before God is as hotly contested as the unconditional election of sinners to salvation. Two extremes:

1. Those who make it free of any conditions at all even with regard to the work of Christ, placing it in eternity- John Gill and John Brine

2.Those who say it is guaranteed by the death of the LORD Jesus, but then make it conditioned on man believing [faith].
