I learned early on that there are some things and even some people that must be "exposed". That there are doctrines that must be defended at all costs. And practices. And principles. And in my old age I shall not go soft on any of that, by His grace.

But what was not so clearly taught was the way all of this is to be done, and by whom. I learned that John and Paul and Jesus "named names" in their exposing of lies and hypocrisy and false teaching. But I failed to read the fine print about the rest of us. Humility. Submission. Respect. Wisdom. Compassion.

And propriety. It is not proper for some people to cast stones. People who are not in authority and are therefore not responsible to God for public judgment need to share privately with the shepherds about their feelings, to be sure their statements do not do more damage than good.

Some "little guys" in the Kingdom look at the "big guys" , pass over their victories which have pleased God so, and go straight for their faults. They seek to become heroes in the eyes of other "little guys" by their "boldness."

Are there such worms among us? Yes. I know one very well, and I am free to talk about him.

He is not a pastor . He does not qualify to be such because of past mistakes as a Christian. He was never asked to write things that he did about leading Christian figures, but just wrote them and sent them out among God's people. He consults no one.

You know him? He wrote a scathing rebuke of Benny Hinn, and a patronizing admonition regarding Billy Graham. Both works were posted on this website.

He is me.

For many months I have been struggling with the thought of meeting Jesus and being asked how such a one as I could dare come against those who bring more to Jesus in a day than I shall ever in a life.

I came against ecumenism, and that is fair. I came against dishonesty and showmanship and that is proper. But I came against two men also, not as a pastor/leader, not in connection with the Body of Christ, but totally on my own. I regret and repent of this. Both works have been removed from this site.

Moses was God's man. He could get very angry. God dealt with him. But when Aaron and Miriam tried to deal with him....

David and Solomon were God's kings. They had women problems. God dealt with them. But when their subjects revolted...

Peter and Paul might talk about each other, but no follower could rebuke them.

The pattern is clear. God has ordained pastors/elders to defend the flock. The rest of us need to be very careful about our attitudes toward public figures. God Himself will deal with them. Meanwhile He is building His Church in the way He sees fit, with weak people like you and me.
