On Saturday January 27, 2007, the Siouxland Presbytery issued a Study Committee Report on the New Perspectives on Paul, and Federal Vision.
Lane Keister stated this about the report: "Fathers and Brothers, it gives me great pleasure to announce to you a victory for the cause of truth in the PCA. . . the Siouxlands Presbytery Study Committee Report, which was approved at our recent meeting (yesterday). . . the Federal Vision was definitively excluded, as was the New Perspective on Paul."
"The background to this report is that the Siouxlands Presbytery Study Committee was formed at the April ‘05 meeting in order to report on the theology of the New Perspective(s) on Paul, Norman Shepherd, and Federal Vision. The committee consisted of TE’s Kevin Carr, Ian Hewitson, Lane Keister, Patrick Morgan, Randy Pemberton, Mike Rico, and Wes White; and RE Kent Brobst. This document was drawn up by TE’s Wes White and Lane Keister, and approved by a quorum of the study committee. The document was approved by the Presbytery. The vote was not unanimous, nor was it exceptionally close. A few additional important facts need to be reported as well: 1. The phrase “and Norman Shepherd” was deleted by amendment in the second to last paragraph beginning “Concerning;” 2. Although Wes White and I did by far the lion’s share of the work (in fact, all the supporting documentation and this document were the result of Wes’s and my labors), no one was excluded from participation. All members of the committee were actively encouraged to participate. However, not all the members did participate. Some participated not at all. That being said, here is the document that was approved. "
