How To Close Heaven

Matt. 23: 13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

I. Lip Service for the Lord!

In Matthew 23:3, Jesus is saying in essence they got the talk but not the walk.

II. Little Care for others needs!

They recognize burdens on other people around them but did very little to remove the burdens instead they added burdens!

III. Life that is inconsistent

Matthew 23:24, These are people who major on the minors and who have lost the big picture of winning lost souls to Jesus Christ!

IV. Lying Professions with no Possession!

The Pharisees had long prayers, the look, the talk, but had no possession on the inside! Jesus said they were like beautiful tomb monuments full of rotting, stinking, deadness!

You want to shut the gates of Heavens for others and yourself? I would not want to stand before a Holy God and give an account on the many souls I helped slam the gate on!
