Somewhere right now as I speak, there is someone who is putting off or postponing their eternal soul’s salvation by saying, “Some other day, later on when I have a more convenient season I will get saved.” But now is the right time and you may never get another chance. The Bible tells us that Felix was bad about putting things off until some other time. Acts 24:25, “And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time: when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.” We do not read in scripture where Felix ever had another opportunity to take refuge in the Beloved. Probably this was the one and only time he could have been born again.

There is an unseen boundary between God’s patience and His wrath. To cross over without Jesus is eternal Hell. Some may say no to God a thousand times, but one day he will say no one time too many.

All the devil has to do to get millions of people to perish in Hell for eternity is just tell them to wait awhile, you have plenty of time, some other time you can repent. Many will follow that dangerous path of procrastination until death rings their door bell suddenly without warning.

For many years now this old man has seen precious people hanging onto the back of a pew in churches during invitations saying in effect, not today, maybe some other time. Believe me, it is a sad job to perform. The Bible puts great emphasis on instant obedience and since we don’t have any assurance of even another day, we need to respond now to his call.

If we could lift the lid off Hell a few minutes, we would see countless millions crying out in remorse. Others would be begging for one drop of water to cool their parching tongue. Yes, some would be saying, “I wish I had repented and turned to Jesus.” Others would scream out in remorse, wishing they could come back to God’s invitation that they walked away from. All would tell us, “Oh I wish I had one more chance to repent and be saved. Oh if only I had thirty-seconds now, I’d run to the feet of Jesus.”
