OverviewTranslation Submission System (TSS) is a SermonAudio tool that allows volunteer translators to assist SA developers in producing a website and mobile applications that support non-English speakers.
The website and apps contain various text fragments called strings. As developers work on the website and apps, they add new strings and occasionally modify existing strings. TSS enables volunteer translators to see the English strings, review their translations, and submit improvements to the translations.
How To Use TSS
- Log into translate.sermonaudio.com with the SermonAudio user account that you use to login to the mobile app or beta.sermonaudio.com.
- Pick a language to work in, and select a project. You will see a list of strings that need review.
- Review each English string and its translation. If no changes are needed, click the Reviewed slider to indicate that you have reviewed it and that the translation is ready for use. The string will disappear from the list.
If a translation needs adjustment, click the translation, make your adjustment, and click Save. Then, click the Reviewed slider to confirm that the translation is ready for use. When you change a translation, it will not be used until you click the Reviewed slider to remove it from the list of strings needing review.
If you inadvertently click the Reviewed slider, or change your mind, see the next step.
- To see the complete list of strings, click the “Need Review” button at the top. The system will then display a complete list of translations: both those that need review, and those that have been reviewed. To return to the list of strings that need review, click the “Need Review” button at the top again.
When viewing the complete list of strings, if you see a translation that needs work, you can click the Reviewed slider to put the translation into the “needs review” list.
To make a change to a translation that has been marked as “Reviewed,” you must first toggle the slider to indicate that the string is under review. Then you can make changes to it.

SA developers release new versions of the app and websites every few weeks. You will see your translations appear the next time a website release occurs, or after updating the app on your mobile device.
