In this brief video, I stress the importance of securing our own infrastructure to protect our ability to broadcast the offensive message of the Gospel without risk of cancellation by cloud providers. We are making progress on the construction of The Vault which will, in part, be used to house the fleet of servers and storage arrays necessary to gain greater independence from these cloud platforms. This is our hope. This is our vision.Friends, how important is it to you that we secure the infrastructure necessary to continue broadcasting your church's sermons along with 2 million other sermons all around the world for the next generation? We can complain all day long about the injustices of 'cancel culture' but will we take any steps to safeguard against it?
We have been thrust into a battle that we would rather not fight. Building cloud infrastructure of this magnitude is very difficult. We have enough to do. But we simply do not see any way around it. We understand the clear and present danger that a site like SermonAudio faces with over 2 million potential reasons for being de-platformed. Our time is short. The window is closing. But I believe, this is what we are called to do.
What am I asking of you?
Before doing anything else, all I am asking you to do is pray. I'm serious. I want you to take some time alone with the Lord and quietly pray about this matter. Really. I am praying that God will lay this burden on some churches, some individuals, some businesses. If God is in this, God must touch the right people. And I believe He will.
