Top medical bodies say pregnant women should not be pressured into abortions
Top professional medical bodies have told doctors and nurses that they should not pressure pregnant women into having an abortion if their unborn child is diagnosed with a possible disability.

In a joint statement, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Midwives, and the Society and College of Radiographers advised medics how to behave when carrying out prenatal tests for chromosome disorders such as Down’s syndrome, Edwards’ syndrome and Patau’s syndrome.

These parents come to Fält-Hansen because they are faced with a choice—one made possible by technology that peers at the DNA of unborn children. Down syndrome is frequently called the “canary in the coal mine” for selective reproduction. It was one of the first genetic conditions to be routinely screened for in utero, and it remains the most morally troubling because it is among the least severe. It is very much compatible with life—even a long, happy life....

The above article is how Denmark has tried to handle Down Syndrome even non-religious country such as Denmark have a problem in handling this.

""In Great Britain, around 92 per cent of babies diagnosed with Down’s syndrome in the womb are aborted""

What's so "Great" about a country which kills babies.?

Life begins at conception.
To stop and prevent that life after conception - You must kill said life.
That is murder.

When I was pregnant with my 3rd child I had a test come back saying he has spina bifida. My doctor advised terminating because the child would need a lifetime of care. Took doctors advice and terminated the doctor. My son did have some minor neurological problems but had excellent medical care to overcome them. The child is now a combat medic and is going to school to become a Physician's Assistant. As it turns out my son ended up saving my life when I was choking and had zero ability to breathe. We serve and awesome God!
Praise the Lord! What a great testimony.

Nice testimony, Sunnyday. Thanks for sharing it. God is an awesome God for sure.

You are right brother. Negative peer pressure is probably one of the worst human evils that we have. Christians often don’t speak out because of their peers and much of their thoughts about life and scripture are either silenced or modified to suit their peers. But, we are to love and serve our Lord above all else.
You do realize that I will be pondering this all day now.
Sorry bro.

Frank, as you know, peer pressure is very strong among the weak. So many people have little confidence in themselves, and so they are ripe for brain washing. Another example is that the American film industry has convinced most that divorce is satisfactory and is even promoted as the best way forward. Times have changed since we were little boys, brother.
Thanks for the scripture text, I had not thought of it in that light before.

Amen Brother! It is amazing to me that a woman can be pressured to murder her unborn child. I simply don’t understand the weakness of a person who would do that. And I think statistics say that 1 in 4 women in the U.S. have murdered their unborn child.
Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Praise God for this. The BMA (British Medical Association), the doctor’s trade Union, and the specialist medical colleges and associations like RCOG, RCM and SCR as listed in the article above have generally been very pro-abortion so this is a welcome development. One of the “equal opportunity” areas as established by law is disability, but sadly this does not seem to apply in leftist thought in the womb, or at the end of life. At least this move by the specialist medical colleges will redress that somewhat.
