Hillary Clinton says young people are leaving the Church because it has become 'judgemental'
Clinton, a Methodist, aired her views while asking Barber what he thinks the Church should be doing today to reverse the decline among younger generations.

"Because a lot of people are leaving the Church. A lot of young people are leaving the Church, in part because the way they understand what Christianity has become ... so judgmental, so alienating that they think to themselves, well, I don't need that," she said.

Barber, a social justice advocate and author of We Are Called to Be a Movement, said churches had to widen their spheres of engagement. ...

“The constitution is not anything we Americans worship as a God but it does grant us the freedom to worship God without input from our government”.

Amen!..and drop the mic.

Trump may be a charlatan, but Biden and crew has plans to alter the balance of our government beyond repair. Stacking the supreme court will eliminate the judicial counter balance it was intended to be paving the way for the socialistic ideals to flow which seek to dictate from cradle to grave every right and wrong to all by overturning or rewording the constitution to their liking.
I don't find it hard to cast my vote for Trump because I do not want to see that happen.
The constitution is not anything We Americans worship as a God but it is our agreement as a people that simply grants the freedom to worship God without input from our government. So perhaps instead of saying the lesser of two evils we should instead say I'm voting for the one who's not looking to destroy the country we are thankful for having, not the one who seeks to dismantle it.
BTW, I believe Mr. Pence is not a charlatan.

Marxism will emerge and real persecution will come to Christians. My one hope is that my life glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. Brothers from America we must not forget that God is holy. The child sacrifice, sexual deviancy, idolatry, gluttony, etc must be judged and the land will vomit us out. I say this with love. Stand fast in Gods Holy Word. Let’s pray for righteous leaders and for repentance on a national level.

Hehe...talk about a breath of fresh air. Thank you brother.

I know more than anyone that my opinions are just that, except when it comes to the sovereignty of God and Jesus being the only way to salvation of course.

I find the whole voting thing very hard to justify. Voting for Hitler to get Saddam out of office. Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid.

What Hillary knows about religion can be written on the back of a postage stamp.

And then it would be wrong.

One day soon Hillary will be judged by the very Book she rejects.

Watcher,
Fair enough, as long as you accept your statements as opinion and not binding truth. Further, I do understand how sometimes rebuke or correction is perceived as an unprovoked bludgeoning. I appreciate the candor.

I really enjoyed your comment! I think it is amazing that the term "above the law" pragmatically applies to some in our society.

It’s clear you believe Trump is an oaf, non-Christian, con-man, and litany of other nefarious characters, but trying to bind Christians to your perspective is neither fruitful or biblical.
You are correct in your judgment of Clinton, just a bit self serving on your Trump related rebukes.
Hardly nursing my ego my friend. I do hurt when my words of love to my brothers fall on deaf ears or are turned against me and used as a club to beat me back. As I said before, there are two types of people in the church: those who have humility enough to embrace words of love to themselves and become better for it or those who get offended and close off because of THEIR ego. No, I don't like Trump knowing so much about him, but unless we are living in a dictatorship and I'm not allowed to express MY opinion, then I hope you can accept it and allow ME to have my two cents once in a while.

Many fine and profitable comments here. Amen!

I think a big part of the agenda is redefining terms and practices to something in line with the "social justice movement." This has been happening in education and academia for quite some time, perhaps unbeknownst to those of us without children "in the system." Ken Ham co-wrote a book about the impact of teaching evolution as established fact rather than one worldview to which other worldviews are in disagreement. This statement from the Clintons is essentially, IMO, just fruit from a different branch of the poisonous tree. Children have been taught that "any love is good love, so I took what I could get" since the early 1970s, following on the "free love" concept from the 1960s. That has morphed today into the LGBT+ movement, and those like Mrs. Clinton argue that Biblical sexual mores be abandoned (her husband also argued for this, but in a different way) as they have been arguing for 50+ years. To do otherwise than what they demand is "judgmental." It is also essentially the argument of a notable poster...how dare we suggest our morals be universally applied as if the Lord is only the Lord of the church and not the whole earth and universe?

Whomever wins this definitions contest will likely win the argument/culture war. We

The starting point for Christian ethics is the Ten Commandments. However, even conservative churches today neglect or de-emphasize God's Law, either supposing it is opposed to Grace, or applicable only to Jews. So young Christians are starved of detailed instruction on it, falling into pragmatism ("whatever works") or subjective pietism ("God told me") instead.
