Pence tells evangelicals he is a Christian first and a conservative second
“I’m a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican — in that order,” Vice President Mike Pence told a crowd of 250 assembled Iowa evangelicals, pleasing words to a voting bloc President Trump must hold if he is to be reelected in November.
The remarks were made Thursday morning during an Evangelicals for Trump event in Sioux City, Pence's first stop on the way to join Trump at a Des Moines Keep America Great rally the same evening.
Thursday's events are part of several bus tours Pence has embarked on ahead of Trump rallies in key states....
Thank you Christopher for your graciousness and meekness of spirit. You have always been the peacemaker on this forum and our Lord pronounces you “blessed”. Dr. Tim- 👍
God knows the hearts of all men—Acts 1:24. As humans, we are incapable of rightly judging the thoughts and intents of our own deceitful hearts, let alone the hearts of others—Jeremiah 17:9. Out of charity let us assume that unless the words of others are blatantly and patently evil, that there is no evil motivation behind them. In all likelihood we just didn’t understand what it was that they intended to convey, and to claim that we did is presumptuous arrogance on our part.

I'm with you, sister...seems simple enough. I always admire the consistent, humble nature of some, because I struggle with the consistency part, depending on the situations at hand.
You've always been even-tempered, and I've always been able to tell that you do your very best to be obediant, and to emulate Christ's characterstics. The love that you have for Him, shines through in your presence here; your on-line persona, on a consistent basis in the past. I've always taken notice of that.
Then, among others, we have the distinct pleasure of having someone like US on this forum. His consistent kindness, and his polite, humble nature, are a fine example to all, but maligned, and misconstrued into having some sinister agenda, lurking between his innocent sentences. He's owed an apology, and a sincere one, as I see it, because I just haven't been able to process how it is that an attempt was made to malign his kindness, and twist it into a diabolical mission, with some wicked agenda. More should have spoken up.
Thanks for your feedback Dr. Tim.Do enjoy your humor also. I’m wrong most of the time, not sometimes, but I rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ and His glorious Gospel of Grace for such a sinner as myself. Hallelujah what a Saviour!
Thanks, enough. I made a screenshot of your post and will refer to it regularly. Since I don’t know a Hyperlink from a Hypercalvinist, I won’t worry too much about that one. The WHOLE group, MS, or only the ones with enough discernment and humility to admit that we are sometimes wrong?
Maybe by God’s grace we should all start with a group repentance towards one another, abide with the forum policies, and be a good witness concerning the Lord Jesus Christ and His Gospel that we all claim to believe. What saith thee all?

The problem stems from those who cannot see their comments break some/all of these rules.
Actually, I just visited the website—very hard to see in the iPhone screen—and I didn’t see the rules for posting there either. I’m sure most of us would try to adhere to the site’s rules if we knew what they were.
B. McCausland wrote, “Healthy situations call for boundaries.” And as Moderator Alpha pointed out, boundaries already exist for posting on SA. Perhaps part of the problem is that the boundaries are not known to those who only have the cell phone app. And of course there are biblical boundaries as well, such as I John 1:8 and 10 and Matthew 7:3-5.

Moderator, Having had a non conclusive antecedent of recommendations passed on as you suggest here, these open comments are presented with SA's leadership in mind.
Healthy situations call for boundaries. Even in a day of no internet, Paul dealt with problems involving unruly religious speakers: "there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: *Whose mouths must be stopped* "
No doubt boundaries might not be easy to determine as neither morality or godliness can be legislated, but a new heart, yet our NT mentions the fact of internal bitting and devouring due to unsanctified practice of Christians.
One might find extremely difficult to believe how a site carrying a considerable percentage of biblical preaching developes a situation similar to Stephen's where, as a pack of wolves, a religious audience resists truth with the obvious charateristics of the children of Belial, or the accuser of the brethren.
It would be sad to have to accept that this is our ongoing trend to the detriment of truth and truth bearers of our day.

Thanks. Understanding the staffing demands of your role however, the reenforcing of the existing policies had been often slow in situ allowing bad practice and disrespect to push boundaries with impunity .

THBCC, is there anything new in your most recent post? If so, would you please point it out so we don’t waste time reading the same thing over and over?

A sobering reminder...
Will do, sister MS. He's been in touch, but I haven't responded for a bit, but I will let him know for you.
Anytime, my brother, US. I think your consistent kindness has simply been mis-understood; being mis-interpreted as snarkiness, in-between the lines, which just isn't accurate, by any stretch. One thing I like about you is that you'll always kick back to do some introspection when unsure, which is a good example for all.

Thank you Lurker for your kind and gracious words and safe advice. I will give it consideration
Thanks to any and all who spoken up for me in any manner. I surely do not deserve your kindness and sm humbled to receive it. God’s blessing to all posters here
To suggest that BMc may be wrong and the other person right may be entirely true, but it is also altogether useless. She is as incapable of admitting fault as Jim is of admitting that President Trump ever does anything right.

No one that knows me thinks that of me and this is not the common feedback I get here, so I reject that evaluation In light of what has been said however I will by the grace of God. Post less Give greater consideration to how what I say will be perceived
Bro US,
In my opinion you do not deserve the treatment you have gotten from B. I have no idea what's up with her but she seems to be taking advantage of your uncommonly gentle nature to dominate over you and shut your voice down. If you post less or even quit then she has achieved her less than honorable objective. I'd encourage you to post whatever and whenever you want and simply ignore her but you do what makes sense to you.
