Religious publication celebrates history of DIY abortions
A progressive secular Jewish magazine published an article this month instructing women on how to perform do-it-yourself abortions.
Jewish Currents magazine published the article titled "How to Give Yourself an Abortion" that includes illustrations first published in its fall 2019 issue. The article uses gender-neutral terms as it suggests that attempting to abortion one's baby at home is a safe and simple procedure.
"For as long as people have gotten pregnant, people have given themselves abortions," the article begins....
Mike, one should see the article that this discussion is supposed to be about and there certainly is disclaimer that the woman contemplating abortion should see competent authorities- - both religious and legal.
Now the average citizen should be completely skeptical how's the reasons that Trumpians give against abortion because it's really, just political reasons that Inspire them. --- at least as far as I'm concerned.

The traditional Jewish view on abortion does not fit conveniently into any of the major "camps" in the current American abortion debate - Judaism neither bans abortion completely nor does it allow indiscriminate abortion.)
This is far as I can see was the conservative Protestants position also, until abortion became a political issue, for some of them.
Though the author of the above article called it short - I wouldn'tâ
Governor Pete Ricketts wrote: .... âDr. Martin Luther King, Jr. confronted racial injustice with steadfast courage and a principled commitment to nonviolence. His eloquent leadership advanced the cause of equality and civil rights for all. Dr. Kingâs speeches, and his personal example, continue to inspire us to seek peace and pursue justice. Our nation has rightly honored Dr. King by building the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C. to preserve and pass on his legacy to the next generation.â  âDr. King taught Americans that true greatness comes through service, that love is stronger than hate, and that characterânot raceâshould distinguish us. This weekend, letâs draw inspiration from Dr. Kingâs life and reflect on how we can be an agent of unity, charity, and hope for our neighbors and everyone around us.â

Joel, you should look over some articles in the Atlantic e.g.

Jim, are you referring to the same Martin Luther King who was a known serial fornicator? Wouldnât you say that was immoralâor is it only immoral if a white man does it? Happy National Cheese Loversâ Day, Jim.
Jim Lincoln wrote: --- https://tinyurl.com/spa28r (âOf all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhuman[e].â â Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.)
The quote has nothing to do with abortion, Jim. There is no justice in taking an innocent life. Quit playing dumb word games.
When they cut my left hand open in Africa and put the tendons back together I was thankful for hygiene as well as anesthesia. The doctors did a great job. I did get chicken pox from that hospital though and passed it on to the rest of the family. No fun.
Jim, you seem to be very knowledgeable about healthcare and such. Could you tell me when did all this injustice and inhumanity start in healthcare? Or was it always there? I remember learning in history class about the time medical doctors figured out about germs and started washing their hands and sterilizing their instruments before surgery. I also remember hearing about amputations taking place without anestheticâjust bite the bullet! Wow, that seems pretty inhumane and unjust to me.
Wow, MLK jr. knew about Obamacare even back then? I never knew. For some reason I thought he was better known for having a dream. Yes, happy đ MLK Day everyone! Btw, why did the FBI assassinate him?

No, Jim, voters donât determine morality in a democracy or in any other form of government. God determines morality. All people can do is accept what God has determined, abide by it and be blessed, or they can reject Godâs decrees and be cursed. Black voters may or may not be fooled by âTrumpians,â but they have been bamboozled by Democrats for decades. Donald Trump has done more to help black people in three years than all the Democrats combined have done in 53 years. Maybe you should examine the facts from time to time, rather than the fiction you get from CNN, NPR, etc. You, Mr. Lincoln, continually demonstrate that you are what the Apostle Peter describes as âwillingly ignorant,â or, as one man paraphrased it, âdumb on purpose.â Wake up, sleepyhead.
Guys, Jim has obviously been brainwashed and is attempting to use the Almighty Internet to support his point as if the Internet was Holy Scriptures. His arguments are all rubbish. Why? Because they donât line up with Godâs Word. Abortion is murder. Plain and simple. Sophisticated pagans have tried to kill God. That didnât work so they are trying to commit intellectual, moral, societal, spiritual, political, and social suicide. Jim Lincoln, you have been brainwashed. Just accept the fact and face the music. Stop holding your head under the sand. Yes, anyone has the freedom to hold a wrong view of Christ (like the Jews), but that doesnât make it true or right. Many people in hell today had(and most likely still have) a wrong view of Christ.
I know a woman in Christ who had a miscarriage at 9.5 weeks. This woman bore a beautiful baby no more than an inch tall. Perfectly formed. But for whatever God's reason, this baby was not to breath air on earth. There was life for 9 weeks. A strong heart beat. A revitalized household in anticipation of this new life. Though this baby never saw the light of day... there was life. This baby was loved. The brief time he/she was here was eternal.
The Bible uses the same word for child inside the womb as it does for a child outside the womb. Also Abortion significantly increases a womanâs chance to get breast cancer, and now 1 in 8 American women will get cancer. Everyone waves their pink ribbons but no one is telling these abortion moms that they most likely will get cancer from inturrupting the process of pregnancy.
Jim, you have no idea just how silly and illogical your comment was. You are saying it is okay to murder an innocent life because another life may or may not come to know Christ. If you canât see that is playing God, then you truly are brainwashed and a supporter of murder. Your life of the mother thing is covered below.

"When the life of the mother is truly threatened by her pregnancy, if both lives cannot simultaneously be saved, then saving the motherâs life must be the primary aim. If through our careful treatment of the motherâs illness the pre-born patient inadvertently dies or is injured, this is tragic and, if unintentional, is not unethical and is consistent with the pro-life ethic. But the intentional killing of an unborn baby by abortion is never necessary."
I will point this out, https://tinyurl.com/zs86c6d (What is the Destiny of Babies Who Die?), According to Dr. Rugh all babies go to heaven, who suffer an early death--before they reach the age of responsibility. This is true as far as he's concerned for the people who do not have the mental capability to understand the Gospel. So, I have always supported the life of the mother takes precedence Most mothers are adults and should be given the opportunity to accept Christ, if they haven't
