400-year-old King James Bible found abandoned in Manawatū church cupboard
How a 1616 edition of the Bible ever got into the cupboard of a Palmerston North church is a mystery that may never be solved.
It's understood to be the oldest in Manawat?.
After being accidentally discovered in 2012, it was unearthed once again this week after a Feilding priest called for old bibles to share with her congregation at St John's Church.
She hoped to share their unique stories in a bid to reignite people's interest, ahead of National Bible Day on July 15.
