Phyllis Schlafly survives 'coup' over Trump endorsement
Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly survived what she and her supporters described as a coup attempt by board members of the organization she founded, Eagle Forum, who oppose her support of GOP front-runner Donald Trump.
Her son John Schlafly, the treasurer of Eagle Forum and a board member, told WND that she will not resign and is resolved to “fight it out” to keep control of the organization.
A statement issued by Phyllis Schlafly said that at 2 p.m. Central Time on Monday, six directors of Eagle Forum met “in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting.”...
