(Photo: We have a small band of very dedicated men and women who work hard to bring you SermonAudio. We value your feedback as we strive to improve the overall experience. But we most especially covet your prayers for us.)2014 is finally upon us!
As we enter our 14th year of operation here at SermonAudio, we would like to wish all of our broadcasters and listeners a very happy and blessed new year!
A few weeks ago, our staff met for our annual Christmas dinner to celebrate and reflect upon God's faithfulness and help in 2013. Looking forward, we continue to understand the important place of prayer in any Gospel endeavor, even with a website like SermonAudio. We are fellowlaborers in the Gospel of Christ (1 Thess 3:2). And it is our great desire to partner with like-minded churches and ministries all over the world to assist in the spreading of faithful preaching to the ends of the earth.
Will you endeavor to pray with us and for us to that end? Please remember us.
All the laboring and working in the world cannot regenerate a single soul. We certainly need to plant and to water, but only God can give the increase. And except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. We feel the strength of that truth only too deeply as the years roll on. Much like trying to row a boat grounded in mud. As James Frazier once put it, let us pray for the "spiritual tide" to rise in our generation so that the same amount of effort expended, may allow us to see us go farther and faster.
We live in exciting times. In our generation, technology has allowed us to communicate and reach people in ways we could never have imagined a generation ago. But these are also perilous times. Going through the news items on this site makes that only too clear. However, this is the time we have been handed. It is our job to put our hand to the plow afresh for this new year and move forward by God's grace.
Happy New Year!
