PC(USA) schedules first 'gay' ordination since rule change
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) plans to ordain the first openly homosexual candidate for ministry since the denomination struck down barriers this year to clergy with same-sex partners.
Scott Anderson, who heads the Wisconsin Council of Churches, will be ordained as a teaching elder on October 8 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Madison.
