Lawsuit alleges 'honor killings' permitted by Michigan Shariah
A lawsuit that challenges the official cooperation by the city of Dearborn, Mich., which has one of the largest populations of Muslims in the U.S., with Islamic interests makes a stunning allegation: that under the recognized "Shariah" law in the city, there have been "honor killing" murders that have been "covered up."
The lawsuit was brought by the Thomas More Law Center on behalf of four Christians whose speech and other civil rights were restricted by official city action at several recent city-sponsored Arab Fest events.

I mis-spoke in my last post on several counts. Thanks Jim for clarification as to what was alleged in the article in discussion and sorry Sermon Audio that I thought you removed something I wrote which was actually posted in another place. I've only been censured once. I understand why. I don't agree, because I tried very hard to maintain balance. Each of us have different reasons for what we say or do. The doctrinal glasses we interpret Scripture through, as most of us are not pastor/teachers, has a great influence. All of God's children are led of His Spirit. We know He would never lead in so many so contrary directions on such very important issues? What can we do for unity in the truth?

When I read the article I seemed to hear less about that and more about exposing the alleged danger of losing our religious freedom. If Christ has set us free, we are free in deed. Man may rattle their sword even kill the body but God is in control. They censored part of my response, but that dealt with what provoked me and not with your question. Please remember this was an allegation and not a proven fact. If it is true it is wicked, there are a number of crimes that Scripture calls such that this nation does not. Psalm 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? I was more provoked with how it was done on You-tube, then jumping on the allegation bandwagon.

Following a google search, I found a letter from the mayor to some American convert to Islam who urged Muslims to rise up and attack in America. In the letter he says "... some Christian missionaries that I had arrested." So he was personally responsible for instructing the police to arrest them. Vote out that bum at the first opportunity.
I ask myself what is the point that World Net Daily is trying to make? It would appear it is that Americans are losing their religious freedom. I believe that our Constitution grants freedom to all religions, so why are we surprised when a 'religious' group that is one of many, multicultural, religious groups, is enabled to practice their religious beliefs? Ah, because then it makes it difficult for another religious group with opposing beliefs to practice theirs. More surprising yet is that a divided 'sort of' Christian Church is surprised.
