John Calvin, one of the two medieval theologians along with Martin Luther to set the course of the Protestant Reformation, turned up a big winner in book awards announced Thursday night at the Christian Book Expo in Dallas.
Three in six of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's Christian Book of the Year awards -- a best-selling study Bible, which took top honors in two categories, and a new book by popular pastor/author John Piper -- draw on Calvin's views.
