1 THE Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want. 2 He makes me down to lie In pastures green: he leadeth me the quiet waters by. 3 My soul he doth restore again; and me to walk doth make Within the paths of righteousness, ev'n for his own name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk in death's dark vale, yet will I fear none ill: For thou art with me; and thy rod and staff me comfort still. 5 My table thou hast furnishèd in presence of my foes; My head thou dost with oil anoint, and my cup overflows.
6 Goodness and mercy all my life shall surely follow me: And in God's house for evermore my dwelling-place shall be.
BIBLE PASSAGE:
1 ¶ The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
