Sanctify them by your truth
Each year the NCFIC convenes gatherings of church leaders in various parts of the US. We bring men together for fellowship, teaching, prayer and singing for one purpose, “to take heed,” and to continue to cry out to God for awakening in our own lives and in the churches we serve.
The Messages
We are facing massive riptides against the truth in every category of life and godliness. Everywhere we see the dangerous assaults of the strongholds of worldly philosophy and morality. The greatest danger for the pastor and the local church he serves is to drift from the truth. Our only weapon against these strongholds is accurately handling the "word of truth” and rightly ordering our churches and families (2 Tim. 2:15, Heb. 4:12, Deut. 6:1-9).
How do we engage that battle in our local churches?
In what areas of attack must we do battle?
How do we "take heed to ourselves?"
How do we equip the rising generation to fight with us?
We will be appealing to one another to recognize our Biblical responsibilities concerning the centrality of the truth of the Word of God.
The Controlling Principle
The central and controlling perspective for these gatherings is that scripture is sufficient for everything pertaining to life and godliness.
As the shepherds go, so goes the church. As the shepherds think so goes the thinking of the flock. Therefore, it is critical that we hold to Paul’s admonition to Timothy, “take heed to yourself and your doctri
