It never made the tabloids but the most important event in the history of the world, God’s Son was born into this world. What for? To rescue us. He was given an appropriate name, Jesus, which means Saviour. And the reason? to save, rescue us from our alienation from God and his love, grace and mercy. So the season? We call it Christmas, it’s about Christ, Jesus that is. Take time this year to look again into that manger, maybe the last time you missed it. And ask yourself, who is he, the Child in yonder stall?
