Every year on October 31, we remember the great work of God in the reformation of the church in the sixteenth century. On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the chapel door in Wittenburg, Germany. This marked the beginning of the greatest reformation in the church since the time of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was poured out.
This year we are going to look at the life of a man named Guido deBres. Guido was a reformed preacher, trained under John Calvin, who wrote one of the most important and influential documents of the reformation, "The Belgic Confession of Faith." Guido's work and confession eventually led to his capture and death at the hands of the enemies of God's truth.
Our speaker this year is our own pastor, Rev. Rodney Kleyn. Come and join us for an informative, interesting and encouraging presentation on the life of this important man.
