So what's the problem? You tell them that this is not MY opinion, I am telling you what the Bible says and what Jesus says. It's not a conjecture of mine. Then when they ask for evidence or proof, You go further speaking about the authority of the Bible and the resurrection upon which it is built. And even if they don't ask, you can always say, with a with a "it sounds right to me" tone- Hey, it's what the Bible says. I'm just the messenger. Go consult God if you don't beleive me. Read the Bible on your own.
People keep forgetting, Jews did not tend to sit at tables but laying down on divans. This is why Jn.13:says 23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. 24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake. 25 He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? How does one lean on another's chest while sitting up in a chair?? So the whole Da Vinci picture is just an illustration & the Brown plot is a hoax.
The "Green" mvmt is full of people who want to use a natural cycle of earth change to gain some political control, gain govt money for 'solutions' that will not make 1% of difference. I like the Swede who suggests in a recent World Mag article that money would be better used to help 3rd world nations achieve better financial base. Unfortunately, w/o Christ, the sins of societies will continue to pollute the earth in other ways. Why do environs skip over the natural processes of the biosystem (ie trees, animals which emit various gases, etc) & never get to the heart of the matter of man's sinful life which will misuse ANY great invention or discovery. Christ will have to return soon, not because of warming but due to war, Aids, etc that sinful man provides. I am not pessimistic- A great revival could break out before judgment, but judgement comes eventually.
amen, Rom 1 sums it up. As the moth is drawn toward the flame, the nature of the sinner or the sinner nation is drawn toward themselves...which is the essence of hell. Take 4 billion people, allow them each to have their own way, put them in the same location without any chance of escape- that is hell.
The PC approach of govt form most of the EU may have snowballed so much as to be unstoppable. You have hate crimes in so many countries & we have not shouted enough in the US about this "crime" against justice & freedom.
all i see is 2 beatle cuts & a kid w/ hat hair. & whats that got to do with the story about the crumbling of the US church ..organizational wise. When swaggert & PTL went down, I remember several people didn't want to hear the word as I witnessed door to door cause "of all those pastors who are crooked". we need to pray!
Partof the problem is that Satan counterfeits many things. As a SBC, I was not open to charismatics. Then I began to study the movement & scripture about speaking in tongues, etc. I would up going to a charismatic church along with my SBC church but never spoke in tongues. It gave me a chance to be open to worship & seeking God's leading in my life but also the errant use of scripture & charismatic practices. Warning WILL Robinson!! This periphery stuff takes focus off the King & His Kingdom
