This is absolutely eye opening.

I agree that much of what is going on in every realm of life, in this fallen world, is more and more a revelation of the judgment of God.

My apologies, Rodney, sometimes the old man in me wins a battle. Not caring what Yawner thinks was indeed my response to him for his response to my post. When he answered the post of mine with his spam, I did get annoyed for a time. It doesn't cut it for him to say it was intended for the saints in general. A "saints in general" post can be added by clicking on "add new comment" rather than "reply to comment."
Aside from which, spamming can hardly be seen as a Christian habit, and shouldn't be allowed. It's seems like the "look at me" syndrome. If yawner doesn't think me Christian, I'll probably be able to deal with it.
Blessings to you Rodney and Mike. I make many mistakes and never thought of clickng the "add new comment" button.

Sorry.

Now you can understand why Jesus had to save me. I do, at times, cause a lot of problems; even though I am saved from the dominating sin nature. Thoughtlessness can be a besetting scourge. I so want the mind of Christ in every area of my actions.

The Lord's thoughts are precious toward me and both of you.

"Add New Comment." I hope I can remember that next time.

Take care.

Mike of New York,

My request was intended for the saints in general; the “called” of God. So I posted it wherever I could.

Sorry, you could not recognize this, and took it the way you did. I was hoping your attention would be on Brian Borgman.

If you, Mike of New York, do pray, it might not have much weight.

You are excused.

Hi Dave,

What I intended to convey was my tiring of hearing anything about this ... .

Sometimes I wonder if he or his father really understand the gospel.

He gets too much attention, which is to say attention given to him gives him and his causes strength.

Ignore him, and snatch his followers out of the flames (Jude)

Enough said.

Denise, Is is a pleasure and my duty to pray for you. Trials can be frightening some times. But I will pray that God will strengthen you in the inward man and that he will be glorified. I pray that he will flood your spirit with his word of his promises to comfort you. May you draw close to the one who said I will never leave you nor forsake you. May the grace of God sustain your praise.

Please, saints of the Most High God,
refrain from posting for a few minutes and pray for this dear brother and his families.

You can listen to an encouraging message from one who has walked with God many years now, and is being taken on a new path of closeness.

Biblical Reflections Before Brain Surgery By Brian Borgman is offered for listening under the "Sermon" category.

Several years back, my wife, my boys, and I had an opportunity to watch a production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The boys were around 6 & 10 years old at the time. They had no problem at all following the story-line or understanding the old English. They actually enjoyed it (much to my surprise).

Brian has always been and still is a blessing to fellow saints. I believe is also a blessing to everyone who knows him. Please keep him and his families in prayer. This is such a comforting/boltering message of faith.

Lord bless
Dave,

I am sorry to see that you are once starting a drumbeat about what Graham is doing.

Is he God to you? Does what he says matter most to you? Is he your pope? Is he the head of the church?

Are you making a name for him?

Are you into celebrity worship?

This thread will probably go on for months because of this.

I use the KJV because I believe its the best English translation, and because historically, it bears the fruit of spiritual growth, rather than apostacy like the new versions.
Here is something of interest concerning the KJVO and other translations. It is lengthy.

Dr. Lawrence Bednar has written extensively on this KJVO debate. He can be found at:
http://www.kjvtextualtechnology.com/

It is worthwhile reading.

This suggestion does not mean I endorse his views on this article or any other of his articles.

And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?(1Sa 17:26 AV)
I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
(Psa 37:35-36 AV)
The letter of the law kills. But the Spirit gives life.

If this is not a leading of the Spirit of God, then it is casting pearl to the swine.

I think our absence, a refraining from patronage, would speak louder than preaching.

Besides, the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God. God has to bring them out of darkness. If we are light of the world then let it shine elsewhere and not among those who love darkness.

This is real persecution beginning in the west I believe brother, how long before we are forced like the jews to wear a sown on cross to identify us as Christians to make us easier to persecute.
God bless mate
This is a time to study the book of Hebrews and build yourself up in the faith as well as others. Assembling is more important than ever before. There will be a great falling away the way things are going.

Just remember what you've learned and hold fast.

One thing to note is that Jesus had given a few disciples a glimpse of his transfiguration BEFORE he was actually resurrected and glorified again. Yet, the disciples did not fully grasp his teaching.

Grasp this: the church has been relatively dormant in reconciling others to the savior. So persecution will get some of their duffs.

I don't think the prosperity guys will be able to twist themselves out of their well spun webs.
