“ Great Sermon! ” Very courageous. Continue to preach in boldness of God-glorifying, gospel-centered, bible-believing, Christ-exalting truth. I think all eyes are going to be on this upcoming Sunday's sermon now more than ever. I'm praying that God will prick the hearts of unbelievers who choose to tune in and examine the message next week. (Romans 8:28)
Something seems amiss with this poll, or at least the way people are taking it. Either the questions were phrased fuzzily, or the poll was taken at "random" outside an Assemblies of God church somewhere. A poll of 1000 is way too small to make it a consensus of "Americans', too.
There is a grand difference between the charismatic belief that Christ is talking to you directly as a prophet would hear, and a belief in having a 'personal relationship with Jesus Christ' -- a common modern term that could imply even the general communication of prayer to Christ and reading the word of God, which any true Christian does. At 52% affirmative, I wonder whether the questions were phrased so confusingly such that we would also wonder how to answer.
In all of my Christian walk, I have met very few people who believed Jesus was talking to them, or the Holy Spirit more accurately -- and they were all charismatics. I used to be one.
Why would you take your child to a residence knowing there was a vicious dog there already? As it plainly states they were told to stay away from the dog, right? Reason being... he knew it was mean. Not all pit bulls are vicious. Raise them as a child. Love them, discipline them, not abuse them, and show them you are the dominant in the household. They will listen.

I am one of the 10,000 plus who download your sermons and teachings and those of the brethren, also sharing them with others here in Australia. In these latter days it is very hard to find a church that is Biblicaly sound. May God continue to bless your church for preaching the true word of God in boldness, trusting Him, that His Word will accomplish that which it is sent to do. Our God and Father does amazing things through those who put their trust in Him. Is there anything our God can't do? Thank you.
