This discussion has developed into a fine example of why I seldom get involved as I once did. The main subject is quickly forgotten and everyone feels the pious need to defend God and protect the Bible from anyone who doesn't dot their "i" or cross their "t" the same way they do. Ridiculous.

As for me, I'm glad the Assemblies of God has taken this stand. I don't agree with them on some minor issues, but I'll stand with them on this. Every Bible-believing church in America ought to be extremely vocal on this matter of sodomy!

It's sad when Chick-fil-A and other companies take stands against the very sins pastors should be preaching against. This says something about the weakness of so many pulpits.

I intend to spend lots of money dining on CFA chicken. I'll be sure to avoid those companies supporting sodomy.

The reason I seldom post comments like I once did is because the MAIN SUBJECT is soon forgotten and a debate concerning something else begins...and it goes on and on and on.

I ask the moderator to cancel a discussion as soon as it strays from the intended subject.

I stand by what I said...and I'll also add this:

1. God says that every word of scripture is PURE.

2. God says that He has PRESERVED these pure words.

3. God tells us to obey these PURE words that He has PRESERVED.

Very plain, very simple. No wonder the devil didn't challenge the Lord Jesus Christ when He said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD." The devil couldn't challenge that statement, but plenty people today do!

The argument that the King James Bible is too hard to understand is ridiculous. If that's your conclusion then you'd better never own a good set of encyclopedias. You'll find a vast multitude of words you won't be familiar with. The fact of the matter is that many people are lazy-minded and want everything the easy way. Of course, the Bible publishers are more than willing to oblige ($$$) by printing more and more diluted Bible versions.

I believe what God says. I'm glad that I can hold in my hands the pure and preserved Word of God, the King James Bible.

I said many years ago that modern versions of the Bible are the work of the devil to corrupt the Word of God. He knows he can't destroy it. So, he changes it. The very same attack he used in Gen. 3 (..hath God said..?).

One of a multitude of examples: This past Christmas I read a quote of Micah 5:2 from a modern version. The word "Ephratah" was left out. Since there were two cities called Bethlehem, "Ephratah" identifies the proper one. Also, "from everlasting" was changed to "from ancient times". BIG difference! Ancient times implies time. Everlasting means eternity.

Once upon a time I used the modern versions. I felt scholarly (like the Bible publishers said I would) but was ignorant of the massive amount of changes made and the omissions. So much so that doctrine itself was perverted. The more I learned of God's Word the less I used modern versions. Finally, I got rid of them and have cherished what God has blessed and honored for so many generations - the King James Bible.

Ignore these people and do it anyway. If they cause trouble, sue the daylights out of them. Be aggressive. Enough of this nonsense!!

These people make up a very small minority in America, about 2%. The media lies when it says 10-15%. It's an attempt to make sodomy appear acceptable. So,in reality, the numbers aren't as big as most people believe. Their only hope is in ungodly politicians, judges, etc. to create special "rights" for them.

Christians and other decent people must stand against sodomy. Much can and should be done.

It's time to be very aggressive concerning sodomy. If people don't like the truth, too bad.

I am blunt and direct: Homosexuality is a sin against God and a crime against humanity. Its logical conclusion is the extermination of the human race. No reproduction equals no people.

I continue: Supporting homosexuality is no different than an approval of incest or sex with animals. They are all acts of perversion.

The biggest shame is that our pulpits are not taking a bold stand against sodomy and its attack on the family.

This is not unusual. To begin with, these "pastors" (I use the word loosely) don't believe the Bible is God's Word. They need to find themselves honest jobs and put "For Sale" signs in front of their churches.

I've been praying for this brother for several weeks. God could release him as he did others in the Bible. What courage!

The Voice Of The Martyrs is a very good ministry that helps persecuted Christians around the world. It is worthy of support.

Let me say something that I've been saying for a long time. Islam is the new communism. Those who are students of history will understand what I mean. Those who don't...well, you're in the same shape these churches are in.

One of the major reasons homosexuality is tolerated by some people is because they really don't know what it involves. All they know is what television, movies and the liberal media tell them. They are given a very nicely decorated idea of something that is actually sordid, vile and perverted in the extreme. Ignorance of truth is always dangerous. Those who support the homosexual agenda are using this to their advantage.

I've never been shy when challenging someone about this. They get the facts in graphic detail. I also tell them that "gay" does NOT describe those who have such a high rate of drug use, disease and suicide as homosexuals do. Yes, they also get the Bible.

We need to be more outspoken on the issue of homosexuality. It's not only a threat to society, it's an attack on our families.

These people are so concerned about being "inclusive". Alright, be inclusive. New York should also legalize incest. New York should also approve of sex with animals. The list could go on.

If you're going to be inclusive then include all forms of filthy perversion.

Do some research on Lester Roloff and the homes he had for troubled youth in Corpus Christi. Those young men and women were the worst of the worst. The state wasn't even able to control them. Next stop - prison. That is, until Bro. Roloff entered the scene.

Lester Roloff's methods were crude by today's modern standards. Bible centered. Very strict. Lots of discipline. Spankings when necessary. Just like God's Word says to do it. The result? Overwhelming success. In fact, state workers often praised Bro. Roloff for what his homes had accomplished.

Now, compare the fine young ladies and gentlemen that left the Roloff Homes with the undisciplined brats of today who become the criminals of tomorrow. This so-called "judge" needs to find himself an honest job.

I seldom watch TV. Not only has much of it become so ungodly, the vast majority of the programs are just plain STUPID!

The only thing I really enjoy is my collection of old classic dvd movies. Other than that, I'll sometimes watch a good documentary or sports.

The biggest danger is the manner in which TV influences our young people. I think many of their problems can be directly linked to the television set.
