Where Jim's debating is faulty is at this point. There is little agreement amongst modern scholars even to which modern version is the most accurate. Just spend some more time on the web Jim and look at those 'scholars' and BIG evangelical names abandoning the NASB as 'wooden' for their highly favoured and recommended ESV.Using your expertise, surely one of those two versions is 'THE' MOST ACCURATE and therefore THE BEST
They both can not be equally the most accurate when they differ? Mention this on a modern version forum and you see virtual heads spinning as they all 'prefer' various versions for different reasons! Why not the MOST ACCURATE
What they mean then is that these multitude of experts can not even agree which modern version is the MOST ACCURATE?
This IS VERY STRANGE They all agree it is any 'prefered' version but the KJV. Maybe they spend far too much time on the web attempting not to offend their modern version brethren whilst still awaiting the next new translation to acclaim?
