Amen! I've personally seen and heard Pastor Fortner and his collegues preach the Gospel like no other to more people than any other. What a shame that those who charge such things are often guilty in practice of the very thing they accuse these brethren with. You may consider Pastor Fortner, myself, and others like us hyper-Calvinist antinomians, but I would much rather be a theoretical hyper-Calvinist antinomian than a practicing one.
Wow! We are righteous in Christ alone, right? Of course we are, but this sermon will discover how little we really understand about that blessed truth. Our sinful nature cannot help but attach merit to the outward appearance of things. Lot is usually not the first Bible character to come to mind when one thinks of a righteous man. But how this portion of Scripture reveals man's sinful perception of righteousness! God's ways are not our ways, however, and how thankful I am for that, and for Pastor Fortner's plain, potent preaching of Christ our righteousness!
The Whole Truth! Are you discouraged by preachers telling you things that neither the Bible nor experience confirm? Then you need to hear this sermon, which neither attempts to cover-up what we are by nature, nor gives any occasion to the flesh. The whitewash of the Legalist and the excuses of the Lawless will find no comfort here, thank God! But they who truly love the Lord will find blessed assurance by pointing them, not to themselves, but to their Lord (obedience) and Savior (perfect substitute) Jesus Christ!
