Great Sermon! Excellent exposition of the Scriptures on Christ's Substitution and Satisfaction of God the Father's law and justice and the simultaneous justification of the elect WHEN He had finished laying down His life for them! |

THE PROMISED SEED“Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Christ,” Galatians 3:16 Everything about Abraham and his life was, in God’s sovereign decree and purpose, forward looking to THE SEED (Christ) who should come - Genesis 12:7. Those today who interpret the seed as being NATIONAL Israel have MISSED Christ as clearly as the religious leaders did when our Lord came in the first century in fulfillment of God’s promise. ALL of the promises of God for SALVATION (election, redemption, justification, sanctification, regeneration, conversion, faith/repentance, and final glorification) are in HIM, ‘yea and amen!’ 2 Corinthians 1:20. Abraham himself in believing THE PROMISE, did not look to his immediate natural seed, but to Christ, and rested in God’s promise to redeem and justify him, and hoped in that imputed righteousness alone, which God promised him upon completion of Christ’s work at the cross - John 8:56, Galatians 3:18 Those who are heirs according to the same promise are taught in time to look to the same Person and Work of Christ exclusively, Galatians 3:29. BOTH MADE ONE“For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us,” Ephesians 2:14 The idea that national Israel still holds a favored son status in God’s purpose of salvation runs contrary to the clear testimony of Scripture. The very core message of God’s Word is that God has preserved Israel in His covenant mercies in order to bring His Son Jesus Christ from her midst to accomplish salvation for His True Israel (elect sinners from every nation in all times) - Romans 9:4-8. That being done, Christ has by His ONE SACRIFICE not only put away all the sin of His people forever (Jew and Gentile), having justified us by His shed blood and imputed righteousness, but also forever removed any distinction between us as regards race and privilege (Galatians 3:28).
