And Pharaoh said unto his servants, can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

We need to be keeping some on here in prayer who feel persecuted and victimized by the CWB..

Hi Dorcas, yes, when I say "the work", I mean a big evangelistic thrust where millions hear the gospel. I would love to hear of men being called to the mission fields both at home and abroad, but we've forgotten to pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers. It is not the same today as it was a century of two ago. Where are the evangelists touring your own neck of the woods. I'll wager the JW's have been or are planning a visit. Why is the world hearing from cults but not from the true men of God?
Am I the only one to state that we as church are in a poor place? That if revival does not come, we shall fade away into insignificance? Is Christ coming for a glorious bride or a dishevelled one?
I honestly think we need to put our own house in order, instead of rabbiting on about others who we disagree with.
I too have been out preaching, as you know.
Fine.
As far as revival...the church is under judgement.
Repentance and forsaking our sins is the clarion call....then perhaps we will receive the latter rain.
Jeremiah 3.

I would rather see the reformed do the work but we're to lazy....
No sir,
We know several 'reformed men' who street preach , tract neighborhoods, etc.
We also know that conversion proceeds from the grace of God alone, and the system which ascribes it partly to man (BGEA) and partly to God is worse than Pelagianism.

Thanks for your kindness Jim.
We live in a remote area at present so it is difficult to find fellowship...but God does provide..

"The feverish aim of modern evangelism is not to promote the glory of the triune Jehovah, but how to multiply conversions".

Dorcas,
excellent quote, amen. Too bad it will not be heeded by those who need it the most.
When a bitter root takes hold, it takes over. It will entwine itself and eventually bind the person, fully engulfing them in their hatred of a particular person[s]. Is it any wonder the Bible warns against this bitter root?
Ladybug,
Another quote from Mr. Spurgeon concerning slander.
"Leave your character with God; it is safe there. Men may throw mud at it, but it will never stick long on a true believer; it shall soon come off and you shall be the more glorious for men's slander".

Catholics pray repetitive words with Rosary Beads that were first invented in 1090 AD, by "Peter the Hermit" and made popular by St. Dominic in 1208 AD. Catholics believe that Mary appeared to St. Dominic in 1208 AD, at the church of Prouille and revealed the Rosary Beads to him. From this time, Catholics prayed 15 sets of 10 consecutive "hail Marys" in a row (150 times), in the Rosary. However, in 2003 AD, Pope John Paul added a new set of Mysteries, so now it is 20 sets of 10 "Hail Marys", (200 times in the Rosary, in total.) Catholics will vainly appeal to Psalm 136 that alternates the same phrase 26 times with 26 different blessings God gives us. It is not 26 in a row as with the rosary! This is also a song, not a prayer. Revelation 4:8 has "angels singing" not "men praying". Roman Catholics borrowed the idea of praying with beads from the pagan religions who were already using them hundreds of years before: In 456 AD, Hindus are thought to have introduced the concept of praying with beads to the world."

I can't tell you how heartbreaking it is to visit family and find these abominations hanging on walls, around bedposts and under their sleeping pillows...
Kim Davis should have refused it and explained why. 1Tim.2:5.

Thanks, Dave.
Thought it best to clarify, as many of us have friends and family held spiritual captives in that satanic system.
Blessings to you.

@Dave,
I'm sure you meant to say; that the roman catholic religion, (not the people who are enslaved to that system) is pagan and of satan..

Dolores,
Sorry I do not understand your post, it is quite muddled.
I posted this morning because my name was mentioned in your post to John UK.
You are a pot-stirrer and from here on out I will leave off from commenting on your posts.
Good day to you.

Hi ladybug, just caught your post.
Mrs. Davis was raised RC so she is familiar with that cult.
She also gave the Marian prayer bead trinket to her folks...sounds to me like she is just okey dokey with it all.

Heh sister! I will answer for Ms. Ecumenical. It is because she is a troll and desires to create chaos and discontent. That is what trolls do.
And she does have a following so that makes her agenda even better. She does not respond to the truth, but my guess is she gets a blank look in her eyes, shakes her head a couple of times and then proceeds on her agenda.
Now to the thread. If the pope praises someone it can be for a good moral reason, but it can't be for a spiritual reason. Only those in Christ can bear fruit; clearly everyone understands that. Well not clearly.
Hope you and your husband are doing well.
Gotta go somewhere. My wife is saying hurry up; notice she isn't yelling hurry up.

Hello Frank and Mrs. Frank,
Hope you are both well.
We are both blessed and keeping healthy..PTL!
As long as I don't get to involved in all the nattering on here, I have a lot more peace.
The Lord has it all in control, some just need to resign as the CEO of the universe.
The old crafty Jesuit is riding high from all the 'adoration' given him by ignorant Christians and religious people...
Blessings to you both.

Dolores,
Why do you continually bring up issues from others threads to let everyone know how maligned (you perceive) that you are?
If you took issue with what was posted, it should have been dealt with then, not brought in to another thread 3 weeks later...
