Thanking our GOD for the LIGHT! Many decades ago--never you mind how many :-)--GOD said, "Let there be LIGHT!" and the darkness I was in was banished! Thank you, Bro. Brian, for talking about this LIGHT. Our God is the brilliant God that shines forth His glory forever & ever. |

A Very Good Message! This popped up under newest sermons. Being a tiny bit familiar with the Names of God, I decided to listen. I'm so glad I did. Now I must backtrack to the beginning of this series & hear what good messages I've been missing. Our God truly is the great, wonderful, awesome, magnificent only God! |

Hi, JohnJohn. The answer is found in Hebrews 11:17-19 which reads, “By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.” (KJV) In the 15th & 17th chapters of Genesis promises were made by the LORD regarding Isaac; in the 22nd chapter of Genesis Abraham, knowing what God had promised, prepared to offer up Isaac. In reply to Isaac's question about where was the lamb for the offering, Abraham had stated, “My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for the burnt offering.” And that's exactly what happened! A ram caught in the thicket became the offering in the place of Isaac! |

Very, Very, Very, Very Good! Hey, did I mention how good this message is?
One of the things this message made me think of was Jacob's reply to Pharaoh when asked how old he was. His old age at the time of the question he knew was no where near the ages of his ancestors. And in light of this message, his age when he died—147 yrs old—& Methuselah's 969 yrs “amounts to next to nothing!” |

Clarifying Information There were some things that I didn't get regarding the “dialogues” and certain words/phrases that were used, so thank you, Bro. James, for clarifying the matter.
I watched the first “dialogue” to see what was going on for myself and found it to be very informative. I will be watching the second one too.
I also heard/watched Simpson, Mefferd, Howse, et al and was so sorry to hear elements of yellow journalism and/or fear mongering in their presentations. We Christians should be the one group of people that would always present truth, even about our perceived enemies. And the verbal biting on a brother-in-the-Lord, wow! It had me once again saying what I've often said to the Lord down through the years: “Lord, I'm so glad I got to know You before meeting the rest of the family.” |

...Or Other Wimpy Persons The word wimpy caught my eye and I decided to listen. The sermon was just as I suspected, one that had a take-away message not just for the guys but for me too. |

Oh, Wow! This is so Clear! Thank you, Bro. Mike. The way you presented the difference was very clear. I didn't have to ponder on things, trying to figure out what you meant. |

One More Thing to Add... I wish I had heard a message like this Easter Sunday instead of the one I did hear at the church I attended. It was: "Why did Jesus die for you? Because you were worth it!" I'm still shaking my head. |

Very, Very Good! Thank you for this message, Bro. Tim. You've reminded me that, although this letter was written to the Ephesians, the Holy Spirit put a copy in my mail box with a note that said: "Lottie, read and take heed; I'm talking about you too." |

The Main Character of the Bible is GOD Excellent reminder, Bro. Brian that God is the main Character in the Holy Scriptures! And thank you for the simple explanation of the "axe head" event in 2 Kings. Our God keeps a watchful eye over everything that takes place in our lives, seeing the big picture and the little dots of paint in the picture. |

What's Passing for the Gospel... There is a so-called worship song out there called "Worth." I first heard it Easter Sunday. It went along with the message which was, "Why did Jesus die for you? Because you were worth it!" People were clapping and shouting, "Hallelujah!" I was floored. |

Great! Great! Great! This is my favorite message on what is traditionally called: The Parable of the Prodigal Son. The cultural information gave me a greater understanding of just what point the Lord was making to the listeners. Our Lord, as always, knew--and knows--what He's doing. |
