He is faithful, but sometimes in mysterious ways. I am also a big believer in our ability to protect ourselves, so although I didn't read the article, I would say I believe in guns because I am pro-life. If someone breaks into my house I am going to shoot them and hope they don't die, but I will shoot until they stop. Now, if they died, it was not my fault, but their fault since they broke into my house. I will protect my wife at all costs, is the way I look at it. I don't like heights, so the rural sounded great, but the mountains.
Thank-you brother Frank. Yes our Lord does ALL things for His glory and our good. ---- Concerning gun rights...we agree. My dear husband would only use his for our protection.
Our leader will have quite a blood bath on his hands if he decides to start confiscating.. Most folks where we live will NOT voluntarily hand them over

We live in an open carry state in the rural mountains. some visibly display their weapon. Pretty peaceful and everyone is respectful, looking out one for another. But we aren't easy pickings for every criminal out there...something about that sidearm on the hip indicates boundaries.
For your encouragement. "Brought through another year, a year of trials, temptations, and storms, and yet a year crowned with innumerable mercies. What sins we have committed! What duties we have neglected! What privileges we have slighted! How faithless we have been, and yet how faithful our GOD! O my soul, trust in the Lord; He is your help and your shield. Live upon His Word. Look to His fullness. Act for His glory.Cleave to His saints Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him". -- James Smith
"God has dealt graciously with me " Gen. 33:11. A most blessed New Year, dear ones!
Since many are going through deep waters there is a lovely less known hymn by John Newton that has been a blessing to me. It speaks of how the Lord afflicts us that He may show us comfort... Here are a few lines from; "I Asked the Lord That I Might Grow". I asked the Lord that I might grow In faith, and love, and every grace; Might more of His Salvation know, And seek, more earnestly His Face
'Twas He who taught me thus to pray, And He, I trust, has answered prayer! But it has been in such a way, As almost drove me to despair.
Perhaps it should be impressed on all who persist in joining Christs precious Name with a blaphemous romanist mass what the significance of the mass is: At its heart the RC mass is a denial of the sufficiency of Christ's atonement. It professes to be a reenactment of the sacrifice of Christ for sin. It is a denial of the Gospel. ---- Many who profess to know Christ and His Gospel keep up with this blasphemous charade year after year.. Shameful.
Lynda, Sorry to see you leave. Was edified by your posts. Another sister posted a few nights ago about this ongoing 'whine' and cheese party that has been taking place on the board and she gave sound advice...correct if you must, move on and don't get drawn in by emotional manipulation. Hope you will reconsider and join us again.
J4J, I was addressing your ludricous statement about more pedophiles in..... It is not about 'liking' or 'disliking' its about truth, and the religion of Rome is a cult with over a billion members, who need to hear that Jesus Christ is the Truth and the Way. Last one. A good Lords Day to you.
