Excellent!

My engineer and I are currently working on the next generation of A-to-D/D-to-A circuits which are responsible for most of the recent vast improvements in resolution of ultrasound images.

Makes me feel like I'm helping to defeat the pro-choice movement on the technical front as well as the spiritual/political one. By helping them to at least get a better view of just what (or who) it is they are actually killing when they choose to abort.

He was pretty rough on the reformed Christian community but overall he was a mighty warrior for the Christian faith. I enjoyed watching him and Walter Martin pick apart cults on John Ankerberg's show back in the 1980s.

Kids see and understand a lot more than we realize. Even if they don't totally "get it" the first time, they've at least been exposed early on which will help them grasp it later.

A good way to do this is to supplement your daily Bible reading to them with teaching of one of the many good catechisms out there (i.e. Westminster Shorter Catechism).

Gay marriage is just the most recent (but also admittedly the most conspicuous) nail in America's coffin, following rampant birth control, divorce, and other social effects of a culture gradually turning it's back on God.

Sodom went the same way, starting with materialism (their king tried to bribe/reward Abraham following his military victory) and ending with widespread homosexuality (just prior to Lot's departure).

Classic case of "do as I say, not as I do".

That and it's much easier to go after kids than try to rebuke those spend-thrift members of Congress.

Another way to look at it is that our Kennedy half-dollar now has about the same purchasing power as the first Lincoln penny (1909) did.

Pretty sad.

Jim Lincoln wrote:

Thank "GOODNESS"?

Perhaps I'm being a bit picky but that sounds like a weird thing for a believer to say. Most believers I know don't use words like "goodness" or "lucky", preferring instead to credit God and His will more directly.

Oh well. Just an observation.

HIV hasn't been proved to exist and to cause some sort of disease yet. And meningitis is polio. Clever magicians!
Sounds like someone else has been reading Peter Duesberg.

If I remember right, his case is that HIV does exist but is not necessarily the primary cause of AIDS.

Sounds crazy to all of us who've been steeped in the mainstream media and current medical science perspective, but remember also that many of our greatest scientists today still insist that we evolved from monkeys.

Unless you really take the time to check things out for yourself it's really hard to know what to believe and whom to trust these days.

Back in the 1990s Hillary Clinton said "It takes a village to raise a child." Or something like that. Not a new pronouncement, just that a whole lot more people seem to accept the idea today than they did back then.

Watching this culture is like watching water circle a drain pulling everything in it down with its wake.

When I was a kid, "freedom of association" meant you could have your own group with your own people and standards of inclusion/exclusion. Today many people including some in our government seem to think it means anyone should be allowed to join any group that they wish regardless of whatever that group, its people, and its charter have to say about it.

Freedom is like cookie dough in the hand. Hold it too loosely and it'll fall out of your hand. Squeeze it too tightly (as our current "hyper-liberty" culture seems to be doing) and it'll ooze through your fingers and then fall out of your hand.

If people don't know or understand the US Constitution, they won't be able to apply the right amount of "pressure", as indicated in my above analogy, and their lives (whether they realize it or not) will be less blessed in the long run.

Another problem is greater long-term disunity in our culture as those who cannot tolerate "gay scouts" will eventually have to break away and from their own group--presenting yet another target group for gays and women to try to pry their way into.

Jim. You really are a devout Obama-Democrat man arn't you.
If you cannot see the difference between the NeoDemocrat Obama style of politics then I guess you must be one of the modern Liberal socialist convinced compromisers, who pitch their tent in the Independent camp. Karl Marx would be proud of your sitting on the fence position.
Its no wonder that communism is creeping into society.
Jim is about 90-95 percent liberal democrat from everything I can tell. The remaining 5% is what makes him "independent".

It's looking increasing likely that atheism will one day soon take over as the majority religion in the United States. When that day comes and Christians become a minority, hopefully they will finally understand why it's so important to protect minority rights and the true meaning behind the words "congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
Unless you guys can breed faster than the Muslims the crosses are just going to be replaced with crescents eventually.

Dems hate feisty opposition. They're more accustomed to getting there way with Repubs on most issues in the past because past Repubs have been "softer" than the ones we have now.

Since our current primary foes appear to be Islamist, and therefore highly "paternal", I would imagine that fielding women to fight against them would actually motivate these enemies to fight even harder and more desperately if for no other reason than to avoid the added humiliation of having to surrender to a female soldier as opposed to a male one.

Granted radical muslims are going to hate us anyway, but I continue to marvel at how our modern culture continues to pursue policies that do nothing but increasingly inflame the passions of our enemies, making them want to destroy us even more.

Oh my gosh...please let me run into this guy in a dark alley someday soon. These liberals make me so ill and their "anything and everything goes" philosophies are just sickening and evil to the core. This guy is the poster boy for evil and one of Satan's willing henchmen.
He must know that these babies feel pain...he must be aware of the procedures.
Down with Cuomo.
Term limits are not enough to keep these guys from becoming so full of themselves over time that they lose contact with reality. Don't ask me how it can be done but I'd really like to see some kind of "rotation" program for ALL politicians where they serve two or three terms, tops, then go back to "civilian" life if for no other reason than to "reconnect" with "the masses" from which they originally came and are duty-bound to serve.

George McGovern eventually discovered how out of touch he'd become after so many years as a civil servant that when he finally retired and tried to open a bed and breakfast, he was appalled at the amount of red tape he had to deal with--much of it developed during his tenure as a politician.

It sounds what McDonald's did, wasn't kosher, so naturally they get sued for false advertising. Did they tell them a McRib was kosher? (Kosher and Halel are quite similar in acceptable food and preparation) but why dignify ]]Muhammadanism?
I thought the McRib was pork, and they couldn't eat it either way.

The second link Jim posted is pretty wild. They lost me when they started trying to compare W. Bush with serial killer Ted Bundy.

Nevertheless, I begin to understand now why Jim hates W. Bush so much. You are what you read. Stay away from that stuff if you know what's good for you.

Sheesh!!

It's only a matter of time. I'm amazed that "Christians" are so accepting of gay marriage today...give us 15 more years on this same road and you won't even recognize America.
It's almost enough to make one wax nostalgic for the 1970s--and that was a pretty jaded decade in itself, but there were still lines that you just didn't cross. Many of which no longer exist today.
