I don't find the prohibition concept a bit "conservative", but rather "modernist", it came into play because of Welch's grape juice, which is industrialized and look at all the diabetic americans today! if we lost electricity and actually grew our own food again, as was mandated to Adam in the curse as Eve to have children, then we'd stop with all these nasty diabetes in a can and drink from the vine and the tree again. so again, if the religion, just as LGBT becomes a special protection, churches are bound to protect it because they have signed a statement that they will support all public policy.
