By the way...regarding my last post...when I say read Josephus I mean "READ" it. Don't quote someone who read it like the author did. And join me in prayer for the salvation of the author's soul. If he doesn't believe in CHRIST then he surely doesn't believe he has a soul and that saddens me.

FUNNY... I cannot seem to find historical record of the "big bang" but just read Josephus (not a Christian) if nothing else and you will find accounts of Jesus' existence and then follow up with "The Case for CHRIST". Then STUDY prophecy and find how the author of the article fulfills prophecy. Maranatha!

Praise be to The Lord for this message. Concerning salvation, "with man it is impossible". Salvation is of The Lord.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them:

This is an excellent sermon from A.W. Pink. Man is totally depraved and vile. Thanks be to Jesus that He has reconciled us and justified before God.

Hey John, your a bit of a distraction and your own stumbling block. Why don't you be a little less confrontational. Besides, check out what the AnaBaptists were about...maybe Perry needed a scriptural baptism.

What I'm trying to figure out is why such hard comments would be made about a politician taking a step in the right direction; or at least in a positive direction toward Holiness. I know if he's been Baptized already then he need not do it again. But we don't know what has gone on in his heart as if late. I would rather see our leaders move in that direction toward God, than away from God as so many are doing. We need to check our cynicism at the door and watch and pray that ye (they) enter not into temptation. For the spirit is willing l, but the flesh is weak.

This pastor is EXACTLY RIGHT! 100% - Christ's finished work. If you count 1% of your own you are LOST! I.E. "accepting Christ" and adding or helping God with your salvation - YOU ARE LOST! The elect are passive in the elective process.

I read this news outlet daily. I lean toward a Soverign Grace standpoint...I don't classify it as "Calvanist" because those labels are confusing and distracting. Either way though, anybody who names the name of Christ as their God, shouldn't carry on in such a manner that Love between believers is lost. Besides, when you get down to it, both views on Soverignty do a poor job of explaining where man's volition and God's Soverignty meet; even touch, but never violate each other. I think we need to temper our argument.

Sermon:
The Knowledge of Faith
Gary Shepard

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thank You for the precise truth regarding "The Knowledge of Faith" that demolishes the false notion that one can know and love Jesus Christ without knowing and loving what He thinks. "For we have the Mind of Christ" 1 Cor 2:16 "I KNOW that my redeemer Lives" Job 19:25 Furthermore, the spiritual heart is in the cranium whereby the knowledge of Christ is circulated throughout the soul even as the physical heart pumps our lifeblood to every cell of the human body. I loved your message.....Thanks Again.

Excellent sermon and warning from Brother Pink. Modern day "evangelism" is all about an easy decision and man's work which disregards God's sovereignty and man's depravity.

Re the senate.
Our senate is almost unwinable. We use preferential voting & the senate seats are distributed by percentage.
This means a number of single issue minority parties can do preference deals with each other & almost guarantees a few loose wing nuts in the senate.
My state had over 150 senate candidates & 18 parties of which only 2 are major parties for 6 available seats at this election.
The system is open to abuse & the senate is usually obstructionist as to have your vote counted you must vote preferential, therefore even preferencing through all the candidates of a major party still means votes filter through to a minor party.
The system needs changing but it's almost impossible to get the changes through the senate, what a surprise, & to get enough voters interested in the issue to act for reasons before stated.

Hi Jim,
the press in Australia is hopelessly leftist, I can honestly only think of 6 significant conservative journalists in the whole country, & thats being generous as 2 of my 6 are talkback radio hosts & it could be argued that they aren't journalists at all.
So don't be too inclined to believe the impression our media gives. Under Australia's voting system a majority in the House of Representatives of over 30 seats is a colossal thrashing & that is what Abbott has secured.
The gay marriage controversy is not gaining the kind of public attention in Australia that it does in the USA, I guess for 2 reasons:
1. We have a comparatively low number of evangelical christians & so for about 85% of the population it stirs little passion in either direction.
2. We tend to be a nation that rejects militant agendas whatever the issue. I get the impression in the US that you are a 'sign me up' kind of people. If you advocate almost any cause with passion, a significant number of people will join in to be part of a 'movement'. Here it's almost guaranteed that the louder you protest & the more extreme your public position the more people will tend to ignore you, even if they are inclined to agree with you. In other words a 'don't sign me up I couldn't be bothered' culture.

I find it strange with the obvious erosion of religious liberty occurring in our nation and the inappropriate use of laws, such as this one, that Bible translations are the topic of your debate. This is the way laws are used in Communist and Islamic countries to target enemies of the state. This is the same thing the established churches in Europe did during the inquisition. Infringement on personal liberties, religious or otherwise, begins small. We need to keep our eye on the ball.

Ok so I'm asking from Australia.
From here this seems bigger than Watergate, I mean these cases of electoral fraud are tried & absolutely proven.
So if this were a Republican plot would your press not use this as leverage to force someone out of office through a constant media assault but because its the Democrats it will be basically ignored?
Am I reading this right?
