Most have no discernment when it comes to the Free Sovereign Grace Gospel. Their gospel is they make a decision for Jesus, they are ‘pronounced’ saved by some man and sealed by the waters of baptism. This is the Gospel you will hear at a BGEA. Many will tell you this is their ‘faith’ and they will never doubt it. Those who have true faith have believed the Word of God, been saved by the will of God, cleansed by the blood of the Son of God and sealed by the Spirit of God. All of God and all of Grace. May the Lord open the eyes of those who have been hoodwinked by those presenting a different gospel.
“Thanks be to God for this man’s bold witness for the truth. Thanks be to God for His true servants who are”set for the defense of the gospel.” Phil. 1:17.
sojourner, yes Martyn Lloyd-Jones was faithful and sounded the alarm on BG, but like today most will not abide hearing anything negative about their idols.
Another Pastor who providentially was brought to my attention concerning BG gave quite a lecture on many of the ecumenists and down right heretics who gave their glowing accolades upon his passing. Some names were rather eye-opening as they are quite well known and post their talks on SA. If your interested: Dan Greenfield- Reformation Bible Church. June 2018.
sojourner- Thought of you this morning when I picked up this little book to read again. “The True Christians Love to the Unseen Christ”. Thomas Vincent.1634-1678. In Mr. Vincent’s words:”A Discourse, chiefly tending to excite and promote the decaying love of Christ in the hearts of Christians”.
“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence “.
Ian Paisley Martyn Lloyd-Jones Armen Thomassian Arthur Blevins Sam Adams Stephen Hamilton Jason Cooley Dr. Mark Allison Brian McClung Ian Brown Larry Wessels Angus Fisher
Just a few faithful preachers who called out the heretical BGEA.
Might want to check your math Tim.There are at least a half dozen or so Pastors with large congregations here on SA , that called out the BGEA for its devious practices. Bearing false witness is also a grievous sin.
Thank you sojourner, for the many eye opening posts on the compromised and heretical BGEA organization.
Those who love the Lord Jesus Christ will always call out the wolves to protect the baby lambs and His sheep. Those who are infatuated with big name ministers will always cry foul and start to attack those who stand fast in the Truth.
I am finished with this particular thread,so until we meet again take good care my fellow sojourner.
Dr. Tim wrote: CES, I apologize to you and everyone else on here for my angry outburst. I close with this: “He that winneth souls is wise.” A blessed Lord’s Day to you and all of God’s children.
Instead of taking pot shots at those who call out false teachers, you might want to read up on the forum etiquette rules, Tim. Your language is quite coarse and common.
Billy Graham also wrote the heretical book, ‘How To Be Born Again’..the handbook of all Arminian ministers. “Therefore let no man glory in men..” “Salvation is of the Lord” “He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord”. Amen.
Always is a wonder to me when others who I do not know nor they me, presume to have all knowledge about where I attend a church or not, if I am a believer or not, if I am using different monikers, whether or not I give the Gospel to all that I meet and so on and on. Usually comes from those who have an inflated opinion of themselves and despise others.
Just because some do not put on a public forum what their right or left hands are doing for the Lord is really not the issue, Tim. Calling out public ministers and their unbiblical proclaimations and methods of presenting the Gospel is the issue and is Biblical.
Good day and may the Lord be pleased to open your eyes.
I have been in plenty of churches that employ unbiblical humanistic methods to get ‘decisions for Jesus’ and put another notch on the hirelings belt. 200 choruses of “Just As Am” lights turned down low, minister beckoning to come to an altar, etc. etc. Only altar we come to is Christ the Lord. So yes Tim some of us have plenty to say about the distortion and misrepresentation of the Gospel and the false ministers who proclaim it,
