Just wait till the public schools get the CDC rules on opening schools. “ all students must be 6 “ from each other “, all lunches will be in classroom. Well in Texas , some classrooms had 22 students per room. But under these guidelines, schools will have to divide the classroom in half to put 11 students in morning and 11 in afternoon. Then close on Friday to clean up for Monday. Then school will be year round to cover time lost. Year round school, well parents will say, yippee, unless they say , nope, we’re staying home and staying safe. Homeschooling will be the trend, because parents deserve a choice, since the constitution was basically suspended for Covid.

First a virus that collapsed the western economy, now this? I got in trouble on a zoom meeting because I used a barn yard term for “ we should encourage families to be present in the moment and center themselves into mindful opportunities “. Whereupon, I exclaimed that I stepped in something that smells bad. That will get you in trouble in this hide in place era.

When a mosque is built in a city it is a sign the city is owned by the inhabitants of the mosque. The call to prayer is just a city exhibiting the obvious . Allah akbar, ya’ll !

The SPLC is no different that a front for Hezbollah or Shining Path or the Khmer Rouge. They are a financial front for a terrorist organization.

QC, my wife is a math wizard, has taught math for 15 years and you are right. My concern is this, the western world tanked their economy on an assumption. It was motivated by fear and death . Every medical care person I have spoken to has said Covid will stop when it runs it’s course. The policy of hide in place does not let a virus run its course, it picks off the vulnerable but not the whole of society. Thus, when the all knowing economic wizards known as politicians, media and doctors say ok, come out of your shell, you’ll be exposed and some may get sick, some will die but the virus is still there till most of not all in society are exposed. Then it will have run its course.
When I was a boy, they used to take other children to a house that has chicken pox to get it , and get over it. My Dad told me they did the same for all children except for polio. There are some illnesses, the body can overcome, Covid will be judged as the first virus we gave special economic and political treatment because it came from a suspect nation state and that alone help extend its viral life cycle.

Well, I’m sorry I barked. We just returned from our daughter’s pandemic approved wedding in the music entertainment wonderland of Branson, Mo. ( absolutely love this place) and this wonderful town is quiet as a church mouse. But there's plenty of everything you would need to make and clean up from a late night ( at home mind you), waffle and chicken dinner party or a restroom visit be normal , here in Hillbilly heaven, Mo.
My prayer, is this town, your town and my town can move forward and open soon. Missouri to Oklahoma looks promising, I pray someday Texas is able to open. But, I guess , if everyone is exposed, the virus ends? Thank you for your word of encouragement QC.

It’s amazing that people think they have the right to frail about and call names about the Texas governor. If you don’t live here, perhaps you keep your opinion in the confines of your home state. Supporting our duly elected leaders is not only patriotic it can be viewed as a blessing from God

Our economy is based on confidence and value. The virus has upended this. But I fear that there are elements of the political left would gladly destroy everyone and everything in order to be in power. If you don’t like be held under house arrest, only to walk in a store, by appointment , then to find no food stuff and toiletries, then keep voting democrat. And for all the universal health care advocates, the ill are being euthanized in Europe as a measure of helping the very ill and containing the virus. Almost as bad as storing the dead in a makeshift morgue at a nursing home. Socialized health will collapse the health system.
Have you heard one single Democratic governor say, “ we’ll be working with our businesses to reopen the economy “? Anyone? No, didn’t think so.

What’s interesting is Mennonite’s travel to Mexico frequently, but Mormon separatists used to as well. But the same anti Anglo Protestant viewpoints were government policy that led to the Texas revolution. Santa Ana main purpose was to destroy the Texican terrorists and send them back across the brazos river.

At age 78 years old , the old shister, Assembly of God, pastor just couldn’t help himself. Right now, this is what judgement looks like. Believers be wise and not full of yourself.

I came to Christ as a little boy, and having no steadfast discipleship, was drawn to sin and bad habits. But my grandmother and one of my California cousins wrote letters to me and guided me back to the Lord after a revival at our little Baptist church ( sorry it occurred when BG came to Lubbock and we had a resurgence of baptisms and repentance from nominal believers as I was and still am during this moment in time).
I struggled with the kjv, so wandered to the green living bible. Went to college and was introduced to the navigators and the Ryrie study bible in the nasb. But had a pastor friend introduce me to the NKJV, and I revisited the kjv after a head injury and realized how simple and direct the translation is. It would appear the the brevity of the kjv is perhaps the best point for the translation. Too many words tends to water down the meaning of the message of the scriptures. That and, begotten, is a better use of word , rather , one and only.

Yes, I’m afraid we will have too many losers in the economic reboot. And that is why elections are incredibly important.
If a Biden/ Abrams ticket wins- the good nature of citizens afraid of dying of Covid, abiding to hide in place, while we are made pawns will eventually become Venezuela. The citizens of our nation will be forced as beggars in their own nation while the world waits on the white smoke welcoming a Stacey “pick me and you’ll be sorry” Abrams is deemed beloved leader.
Vote DJT 2020.

QC I read the comment, evil never sleeps. This hide in place response to Wuhan SARS has given many wicked politicians time to realize, people of faith still have faith. And homeschooling is a threat, especially if their actually saying that the likelihood of even universities opening this fall is slim. What does need to happen is that homeschool associations need to provide curriculum to parents because there simply was not enough rigorous assistance from the public schools. This school closures caught us all in public school by surprise. But the students will be behind by a year and special education students will need even more assistance. I think the homeschool guidance could help greatly. I plan on contacting my state senator for that reason.

I think that given this break, if a parent has the fortitude and creativity, just might not go back to a brick and mortar school house in the fall. We have a strong home school coop in the panhandle. My daughter home schools, we know of families at church. Most graduated to university. Sounds like the good professor is reading tea leaves and knows something good is going to happen in this country from all this.

The photo looks like Trump is dropping off the foreign exchange student that lived with his family during last fall’s semester. Oh well, his sister’s meaner, she might have had a hand in the recovery of her brother.

The employees that test positive for Covid is what happens during a pandemic in close quarters. There isn’t transmission from worker to food to table. There isn’t a food shortage, there is a slow down in food production. But we’re still operating on the the “ then what” decision making. The reason Sweden did not hide in place was they believe that the only way for people to build an immunity is to be exposed to Covid. Quite honestly, the doctor I talked to said most everyone will get Covid in their life time . Hopefully there will be a vaccine like the H1n1 flu. But hide in place, buys time till we sort out a plan. I’m just frustrated that we’re in a small business ghost town. Between 30% -60% of all restaurants will close.

I’ve spoken on this forum before but it goes without saying, transgender male to female are at risk as anyone with an underlying heart condition because the medication they take does create a heart problem. My son is transgender and I do not have a civil relationship with him. And on the other spectrum, my step daughter is a RN and is treating Covid patients in Lubbock. We pray for the safety of all our family, both near and far off.

Their medical tests are contaminated from China are and possibly the truth is that in China, you either survived or died , no accounting for medical care. Most physicians in Wuhan died, and the policy of locking citizens in the apartment was to “ kil” the virus. When this first came out, a nurse took to Skype.in February to claim over 25,000 had died in Wuhan, since its outbreak in January/February, with over 150,000 test positive. The Chinese used to list the dead per crematorium. They no longer do this as they can’t account, nor are they willing to tell how many have died.
