I hope that these kinds of revelations will encourage Christians to take up the Psalms exclusively in worship but also as the primary songs in their daily lives for their own enjoyment.

Stever, I thy totally agree with you. Until one has actually experienced that noise pollution
5 times a day on a daily basis they have mo idea how obnoxious and ghastly (as I think you said once before) that it is. Its like some alien sound that resounds in your whole body. It truly disturbs the soul. Its absolutley hateful and if you are familiar with Arabic then you know its a denial of Christ and an affirmation of mohameds god. I lived next door to a mosque for over a year and I cant express the intense sorrow I felt from that doleful moaning. And some people think it is no big deal. When I heard it I would stop and pray fiercly against Islam and for the advance of Christs kingdom's over his enemies. And I prayed for the muadhan giving the call, that the Lord would save him and silence him. Its so irritating that U.S. christians want to coddle and apologize for islam while our brethren are being murdered, raped, and tortured by muslims the world over. The arrangement at Duke wasnt just supposed to be the giving of the adhan but it was to be done from a church bell tower! Shameful

Why every Sabbath is there news to read but on this day there is an actual "rest" from the news to talk about the birth of Christ. I hope that in the future SA while start treating the Sabbath like the Sabbath and instead of filling the page with news items maybe they can post something edifying as they have tried to do here. One of the greatest grievances I can see with these man made holy days is that they cause us to treat our actual Christian duties as mundane and boring. The Sabbath expecially is not treated with as much reverence, cheer, and enthusiasm as December 25. Someoneone else here postef that we ought to celebrate these great truths every Lords Day. How very true. May Christ bless us with a new sense of duty and obedience to what he has commanded. God bless.

We need to pray for the Malaysian Christians. Whether we like their use of the word Allah for God is not going to change the fact that this is the word used in the Malay scriptures and what is going to happen is they will have their Bibles confiscated and destroyed. They may also be penalized for owning or distributing Bibles even among Christians. Allah is a pre-Islamic word for God. It is merely a contraction of Al-Ilah or "the God". It is cognate to the hebrew word El. It has been part of the Malay language for hundreds of years. Malaysian Christians know they do not worship the same God as Muslims just as we know we don't worship Thor or Oden just because we use the word God.

Dear sir, i am very blessed and happy that God mercifully saved you from mormonism, that is truly wonderful. i do not condemn all chick publications but i do agree with the Bible that making depictions of God as any person of the trinity is a violation of the second commandment and not only obnoxious but sinful. i realize that this truth has been rejected by much of modern evangelicism but it is still the truth.

They make accusations they don't have the integrity to back up,like the one I'm dealing with now who apparently feels that the light of their brilliance makes it hard to see what they plainly wrote, which was a post completely condemning Chick in no uncertain terms...then they say it was not their intention, its not the positions these people take that are of any surprise but their complte lack of accountability, responsability or just plain ability to back them up.
KM as a former Mormon I can tell you that the last thoing a Mormon needs is a contrived or "targeted" message from anyone, they need dirtect hard hitting truth....of course no post from one such as yourself is complete without yet another baseless accusation,i to have read many Chick publications...in what way has God been portrayed in a sinful obnoxious manner ?

Dear sir, I am sorry that you did not understand my intention. i was not intending to point out the problems with chick publications rather what i thought would be Biblically more appropriate as a wittness. yes its true that black men do become muslim in prison but you must understand that although even muslims deny this there are many factions and sects of islam and this tract is very specific to a smaller sect of Islam. Maybe a track like this would be better distrubuted in a prison than in a neighborhood. it would be like giving an anti-mormon fundamentalist tract to a moderate mormon. as far as idolatry i have read many chick tracts that are full of images of God, which is sinful and obnoxious.
Strat wrote:
KM,defend your accusations with facts, what specifically is wrong with Chick,in this one the man was introduced to Islam in prison, does this not happen ? the young man was black, are young black men not introduced to Islam in prisons ? the young man had a grandmother who was a Christian and tries to help him,is this completely out of the ordinary on the planet you live on ?
Your accusation of idolatry is completely without cause other than your own...don't be a drive by accuser, have some integrity,Satan is the accuser of the breatheren.

i have thought about this a lot and after reading the article what struck me was that the man offended had actually recieved literature from the church before and was not offended by it. but this comic was offensive and i can understand why. i would probably be offended at it myself because most chick comics are obnoxious and full of steryotypes and idolatry. islam is dangerous and violent but one need look no further than the nightly news to see this or pick up a history book. however many moderate muslims in the US are in denial of this as they are not personally violent or extreme. it would have been more beneficial for this man to have recieved a Bible. I dont know if he speaks arabic but the Trinitarian Bible Society prints lovely bibles, and small gospels of John (for only 1$). Ramadan is approching at the end of this month and muslims everywhere will be meditating on the koran but I encourage everyone who reads this to please consider the souls of these muslims bound to this lie and give them the truth to meditate on instead. if you have a muslim neighbor or aquantaince find out what language they speak and give them a Bible or gospel. show them the love of Christ and pray for them. this is to use our liberties for the glory of God. Peace.

unfortunately mr lincoln may be correct in his skepticism. I have now read several articles stating that her own husband is skeptical of the release and that sudanese officials have actually retracted their own statements saying they were misunderstood. let us continue to pray for this dear family because this poor woman is still in much danger and her two children are also imprisoned with her.

dear brethren, i know you may not realize it but the word Allah is older than Islam and is the arabic word for God. it is used in the arabic Bible today. it is not an islamic invention although they would like to claim it to be. it is no differnt than the greek Theos or the english equivalent God. it just means "the God". it is my understanding that the malaysians use this name for God because that is traditional word for God in malaysia being a loan word from arabic. maybe there is a more suitable word in malay but i don't know but i hope we dont slander our poor brethren who use the word Allah as though they are sinning in doing so.

this doesnt reveal the true nature of obamacare asmuch as it reveals the true nature of the holiday. it has nothing to do with Christ (and never did) and it has everything to do with sinful revelry and riotous behavior. I know that I offend many good Christian brethren who disagree and I dont consider them enemies but I say this as an loving admonition and I hope and pray it will be received that way.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I have benefited so much from this sermon series, and this one personally about the fall of Hippo Regius. I can attest to the truth that you spoke about how God judges idolatry in a nation. I was in Algeria a few years ago and had the opportunity to visit the city of Annaba(Hippo Regius)and the only thing that remotely resembles Christianity there today is the Roman Catholic Basilica of Augustine (built near the original). Otherwise the entire city is given over to Islam. I remember reflecting, how could a city which was once such a beacon of truth for the cause of Christ now be completely given over to the enemy? And I thought further about our nation and that only God's mercy is what has preserved us for so long but we are just as guilty and no more deserving; and the same judgment will come on us if we don't repent. Very sobering and I will continue to pray that our nation will repent and acknowledge Christ. I would like to know more about how our own constitution was formed and this great omission of not recognizing Christ as Lord in it. I hope you will preach more about that in the future. May God bless your ministry and continue to use you.

I really enjoyed this sermon. I recognize a great weakness in my prayer life and this has encouraged me. I look forward to that future time of great gospel blessing on the church and I love to hear sermons about it. may God bless you and continue to use you mightily for his glory.

this is bad news. in other words they are still having relationships. they still cohabitate. they still have children. they still carry out all the functions of marriage yet without being married. it is still better to be remarried after a divorce one has repented of than to live in the sin of fornication. i pray for this country and for the church that we would learn forgiveness and true repentance and that we would honor marriage and seek to set a biblical marriage example whatever our marriage status is. there is so much confusion about marriage today, many young people are third and fourth generation products of divorce. they have never even seen a real marriage. divorce is very bad but many Christians also have a distorted teaching about divorce/remarriage (and i was one) and its so easy to despise people who are in a divorce/remarriage and to be very proud. and i have seen more distain and reproach for the remarried divorced person than for the divorced fornicator as if the remarriage is worse than the fornication. many complain that divorce is so easy today... but so is fornication and that's part of the problem. may Christ grant us humility and kindness as we seek to understand his word and apply it in our life. peace.

i thought the whole point of ever legalizing abortion in the first place was to prevent "unskilled, unqualified people" from doing the abortion because they wanted "safe" abortions. This is like legalized back alley abortions. and while I believe most midwives are skilled and competent to deliver babies i would not believe the same about a midwife who was even willing to do an abortion. same is true for "physicians" willing to do abortions. the first rule is "do no harm" and you can't carry out this act without doing harm to either the child (of course) or its mother. this is political medical negligence. the abortionists are never satisfied, they always want to push for more corruption and death any way they can. and now we are back to square one.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Dear Pastor Dilday, I want you to know this message was a real blessing to me and helped me with some tough questions I have been having. Especially when you quoted the verse from the Song of Solomon I knew the Lord was speaking directly to my heart because thats the exact verse I had in meditation while you were preaching. I hope you will preach more again on this topic because there is really such confusion in reformed circles today (about many things) and yet there are many that want the old paths and to follow the "footsteps of the flock". Praying for you and your church. May God bless you.

Sermon:
Cremation - Is It Biblical?
Rev David Silversides

“ very enlightening ”
dear pastor silversides, thank you for this sermon which the Lord really used to convict me about some of my wrong views and attitudes about the body. i listened to this because recently a baptist pastor i know had his young son cremated, and my cousin also was cremated recently because he was poor. it really is happening more often especially here in the US. but now i have more questions. what about organ donation? if our bodies are not our own do we have the choice to donate? should we receive an organ (including blood)? im having a hard time answering this question biblicaly. i dont want to have an overly strict view of these things but as you said many Christians have a very cavalier view of the body and i dont want to look at the body like spare parts but i also dont want to condemn the practice if its lawful. thankyou for your scritural insight and i hope your reply will help anyone else who is wrestling with this topic. God Bless.
