If the phrase in the 14th amendment "Equal Protection under the Law" can be applied to same sex marriage, then it can be applied to anything any group really wants to do.

Compulsive texting, games ect. is taking it's toll in every area of life. The economy: 60% of office workers are spending 80% of their time at work, on their phone. In relationships; people on dates have their face in their phone. At Church; people go the whole service on their phones. And not reading the bible on them. It is only getting worse. I would become Amish, if the Amish allowed air conditioners. It's way hot here in Alabama

Why hasn't this thread been closed moderator? This constant bickering and attacking has not one thing to do with the article.
Sadly, that is true of many articles. The first few posts have to do with the topic, then it goes all over the place. After that comes the fighting. The same people using the same arguments for the past 15 years. Don't get me wrong there has always been some good solid, biblically informed people who posts here. But, yeah I am with you. The world is going to hell and some armchair theologians spend all their time majoring on secondary issues and calling people names.

I was surprised (don't know why) to find out one group that was fighting against Polygamy was the Gay Marriage folks. They are insisting that marriage is Only between Two people. What hypocrisy.

If the phrase "Equal Protection under the law" from the 14th amendment, can apply to gay marriage, why not anything else people want to do. Why just two people? Why people to begin with?

America has lost it's mind

I agree with most of MacArthur's article. But I also would like to interject something Richard Baxter the Puritan pastor said in,"The Reformed Pastor". He asked the question whether a pastor can be restored back into ministry after committing shocking sin? He said the pastor must for a long time sit on the back pew and after some time when people remember his repentance more than they do his sin, then he is fit to come to the front of the church again. MacArthur's point a extremely valid. Is a year long enough to accomplish this? No way!
Good quote. It seems some only want Ro. 11:29 to apply to salvation.

Seems like Everyone is an "Evangelical" these days. Wonder when we are going to hear about; Gay, Atheist, Witches, Muslim, Liberal, Evangelicals denouncing belief that Jesus is the only way.

The idea that it won't affect military readiness is proof that insanity has set in. I used to be a night chaplain at a downtown homeless shelter, and we had a "guy" come in that was getting ready for a sex change operation. Which dorm do we put him in? Up top he was woman. Can't put him in the men's dorm, there will be night time activity we don't want. Can't put him in the women's dorm. He still has male parts. The women will object, possibly.

We had to make a place for this person all by themselves.

Well; it just happened. The Supreme Court claims they have found a right in the constitution for gay marriage. This sin is now being mandated on all the states.

We will increasingly be portrayed as the bad guys. Possible even by members in our own churches.

Good point, Randy. Homosexuality and racism have nothing in common as much as many queers wish to associate the two. For example, see the excellent article by Dennis Prager, ]]Why a Good Person Can Vote Against Same-Sex Marriage.
So, anyway, I reference the sermon the first time, and here is a printed commentary, to make things easier and faster--not of the same sermon by the way--]]Homosexuality: A Biblical Perspective.
Thank you. I have seen the first one before. It is one of the best sources for people who genuinely want to know why we take the stand we do.

This issue and many other issues relative to "diversity" is a result of racism that was not properly dealt with years ago. And by 'racism,' I mean specifically the racism of discriminating against Black people and those having inherited one small drop of blood in their lineage. You can stick your head in the sand if you want, but when you do, you'll find a buried treasure of truth.
"Sin is added to sin." We can treat another human being as being inferior to ourselves if we so choose. Our offspring will live with the results. This is what we are dealing
with - people not respecting and loving TRUTH.
I have been noticing your threads recently, and those of someone called 'Get Real' I'm missing something. How do the issues of Heterosexual Marriage and Gender Distinction equate to Racism? Was the teacher black and all the people in disagreement white? Even if that were the case, to judge their motives as Racist before knowing the full story is Pre Judging. I believe that is where the word prejudice comes from.

"Kids perform better at schools that ban phones"
What's amazing, is this comes as a surprise to anyone. Productivity is likely diminished by as much as 80% by those who have their face in the phone all day.

In just one day: Waiting at a light, a lady in an SUV runs a red light (face in phone) nearly hits a j walker (face in phone) Drug deal going on in front of courthouse, cop misses everything (face in phone). Go to the pool six lifeguards(face in phone). Go to store, cashier (face in phone) go to the bank teller (face in phone). Go back home, red light out, cop directing traffic? (face in phone)stop by subway, server (face in phone). Go to bookstore (people walk I, and all through the place never taking their, you guessed it(face out of phone)
.Google; how do I breath, Google, what is my name, Google how do I walk.

It looks as if our economy is being driven, largely, by the manufacture and sell of smart phones and I pads. Ironically, 40% of the people who have jobs are spending 80% of their time at work with their face in their phone.
If employers would take a stand and fire people for not working, then maybe people who want to work (not just have an income)would have a better chance. Also, those who get fired, due to their texting addiction, would not be able to buy phones, and hopefully our economy could be driven by something more than addicting phones.

Did I read that right? "Socially Liberal, Gay Conservatives". Guess the majority of people have lost the ability to recognize contradictions. Or else these Postmodernist have embraced contradiction as the highest form of wisdom. It's probably both.

Uh! Did anyone notice the inaccuracy in the writing of this article? The title is about WWIII, but the first paragraph makes it WWII. I've seen this quite a lot with internet articles. Misspelling galore. What, they don't proof read anymore?
