Yoohoo wrote: Why hasn't this thread been closed moderator? This constant bickering and attacking has not one thing to do with the article. Sadly, that is true of many articles. The first few posts have to do with the topic, then it goes all over the place. After that comes the fighting. The same people using the same arguments for the past 15 years. Don't get me wrong there has always been some good solid, biblically informed people who posts here. But, yeah I am with you. The world is going to hell and some armchair theologians spend all their time majoring on secondary issues and calling people names. |

VanPastorMan wrote: I agree with most of MacArthur's article. But I also would like to interject something Richard Baxter the Puritan pastor said in,"The Reformed Pastor". He asked the question whether a pastor can be restored back into ministry after committing shocking sin? He said the pastor must for a long time sit on the back pew and after some time when people remember his repentance more than they do his sin, then he is fit to come to the front of the church again. MacArthur's point a extremely valid. Is a year long enough to accomplish this? No way! Good quote. It seems some only want Ro. 11:29 to apply to salvation. |

Jim Lincoln wrote: Good point, Randy. Homosexuality and racism have nothing in common as much as many queers wish to associate the two. For example, see the excellent article by Dennis Prager, ]]Why a Good Person Can Vote Against Same-Sex Marriage. So, anyway, I reference the sermon the first time, and here is a printed commentary, to make things easier and faster--not of the same sermon by the way--]]Homosexuality: A Biblical Perspective. Thank you. I have seen the first one before. It is one of the best sources for people who genuinely want to know why we take the stand we do. |

Cleansed wrote: This issue and many other issues relative to "diversity" is a result of racism that was not properly dealt with years ago. And by 'racism,' I mean specifically the racism of discriminating against Black people and those having inherited one small drop of blood in their lineage. The book "The Source" tells us how people are classified. You can stick your head in the sand if you want, but when you do, you'll find a buried treasure of truth. "Sin is added to sin." We can treat another human being as being inferior to ourselves if we so choose. Our offspring will live with the results. This is what we are dealing with - people not respecting and loving TRUTH. I have been noticing your threads recently, and those of someone called 'Get Real' I'm missing something. How do the issues of Heterosexual Marriage and Gender Distinction equate to Racism? Was the teacher black and all the people in disagreement white? Even if that were the case, to judge their motives as Racist before knowing the full story is Pre Judging. I believe that is where the word prejudice comes from. |

"Kids perform better at schools that ban phones" What's amazing, is this comes as a surprise to anyone. Productivity is likely diminished by as much as 80% by those who have their face in the phone all day. In just one day: Waiting at a light, a lady in an SUV runs a red light (face in phone) nearly hits a j walker (face in phone) Drug deal going on in front of courthouse, cop misses everything (face in phone). Go to the pool six lifeguards(face in phone). Go to store, cashier (face in phone) go to the bank teller (face in phone). Go back home, red light out, cop directing traffic? (face in phone)stop by subway, server (face in phone). Go to bookstore (people walk I, and all through the place never taking their, you guessed it(face out of phone) .Google; how do I breath, Google, what is my name, Google how do I walk. |
