We always think that TV and video games are the worst influence but the books are just as bad. I know the book the man in the article is talking about. The publishers think all teenagers want to read about is sex. I went to our school librarian and specifically asked for something clean, what he gave me was NOT in the slightest.
That's the thing about these abortion mills, PP, Marie Stopes and the like. They claim to provide valuable services but it's nothing women can't get at their GP or a hospital. It's not like PP are the only mammogram providers in the world. :I
When I did religion at school the Christians were forced to learn the five pillars of Islam and the Shahada, but when it came to teaching Christianity the Muslims were allowed to skip class! Double standards...
It concerns me when I see professing Christians playing games such as Grand Theft Auto, which requires the player to both steal and kill... I don't understand how you can get enjoyment out of that. And these games are very popular amongst primary school kids - why do the parents buy it when it's clearly marked 18+?
Anyway, I don't believe video games themselves are sinful, but just like television programmes a whole lot of them should be avoided.
I remember when this happened the president of the Methodist Church Ireland went to the Islamic Centre in Belfast to apologise to the Muslims on behalf of Christians. What is there to apologise about? The truth?
