Mullins Otte wrote: This "newspaper" appears to be a sensationalist rag pandering to Christian Zionists, Neo-Cons, and anyone else with an agenda best promoted through inneundo and deceit. It is unworthy to be published on a site striving for the excelency of scholarship that SermonAudio strives to achieve. Sadly, thee are enough closet racists cowering under the guise of "Evangelical Christianity" and "American Patriotism" who will lap it up like a pig at the trough. Like or dislike whom you will, but throwing garbage only makes your own hands stink. There aren't many Obamazombies on this site you know. |

supralap wrote: JHawk44 said...Wonder what those southern baptists will think if he converts. I am a SBC pastor. I am a 7 point Owen-Gill Calvinist. I know we have many tares in the SBC, probably even 70% or more. What will the SBC think? I am sure most of us will be sorrowed. I though Bush was a nominal Methodist to begin with, so I am not sure what your question was aiming at; If it was more related to the past 70 years of bad SBC Theology, then it seems odd to single them out when every denomination has tares who might display Catholic ideals while even remaining in their own denomination. To name out the SBC, seems to imply your own denomination has no tares who would "be fine" with Bush going to Catholicism. Sorry I didn't mean to offend you, I was just poking a little fun, since all the southern baptists I've been around always seem to be big Bush fans. My apologies for going to far. |

Jim Lincoln wrote: The state officials should move swiftly to arrest the parents of polygamy, and then the custody issue would at least be temporarily settled, ]]A Look at Fundamentalist Mormonism. I've read it's very difficult to prosecute and prove that someone is a polygamist, their religion aside. |

What is truth wrote: Scientific truth has evolved and changed many times. Much of what was scientifically proven in recent history, is now scientifically proven to be untrue. Our own planetary system is the latest example. Therefore science does not have absolute truth. Jesus Christ claimed to be the absolute truth. Nobody has proven He did not walk on this planet, although many have tried. Secular history attests to him, as well as the Bible. He claimed He was God in the flesh, so there is actually evidence that God exists Excellent synopsis. |
