Record, if you truly believe that then why bother posting to tell me otherwise since I am deluded by God's sovereign will. For that matter, why pray, why witness, why do anything? God's already determined everything, "every thought, every action" as you put it. We are robots, we are to be fatalists, we love God by coercion, we sin according to His perfect will, we kill, maim, rape, lie, steal, commit adultery, hate, etc. according to Hi perfect will. Do i have it right, Record? God forced this person at VT to kill? God forced Hitler to murder millions of Jews? God forces people to get angry? God forces men to beat their wives and children? God forces priests to molest little boys? God does all of this? Yes or no? |

Michael H. And also, is it any wonder that Satan would use people like For The Record to get us off the topic and onto some idiotic argument, again, about Calvinism. I am doing a study on the fear of God. As we pray for revival, I am starting a study on the fear of God (I think you said that this was one of the biggest issues facing the church in another survey). I don't believe we can truly see revival until we understand this truth. The main point for me is that it MUST begin with us pastors. We need to fear God more than our congregation if we are going to see revival. We must be unafraid to preach the truth of the Word, even if it means offending people and seeing them leave the church. It will mean exposing sin and false doctrine, even naming names, which people don't like. But we must do it or we won't see God move in our midst. Please pray for me Michael, and anyone else, that I, and other pastors, wil answer the call to be a prophet to our churches. We must proclaim loud and clear the holiness of our God, the sinfulness of humanity, and the exclusiveness of the gospel of Jesus Christ without fear! |

Broken Record, there is a HUGE difference between Calvinist and HYPER Calvinist. You made the accusation first, not me. If you wanted someone who was going to roll over and play dead while you made your remarks, you picked the wrong place. I know what I believe and why I believe it. My church knows EXACTLY where I stand, I'm not one of those soft spoken, people pleasing, ear tickling types. If you don't knnow that, you haven't been around here very long! P.S-I wasn't defending Semper Fi, I was using your own words because your last post didn't make a whole lot of sense. Also, I don't wrap God in an American flag, but I also don't blame the government for everything that goes wrong. If that makes me a traitor, so be it; God isn't an American and He definitely isn't a Republican!!! |

Expositor, you never responded to my post on 4/14/07 3:48 PM.I gave Bible verses and asked intelligent questions which you didn't answer. But since you accuse, was God punishing the "wicked man" (I use your phraseology), Onesimus, who was a fellow believer to his slave owner Philemon? Many of the slaves in America were God fearing, born again christians. Was God punishing them as well? That's why I called your comments ludicrous. You base these statements on your twisted, demented view of the Bible and ignore the obvious passages that show the fallacy of your posts. If there are any new or weak believers reading these posts, please, don't let this person lead you astray from the truth with his novel , and yet, unbiblical ideas. Expositor, be a gentleman and excuse yourself from this site for the sake of the weaker christian."These things teach and exhort. If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings.Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself." |
