Glad someone stepped in to confirm...much appreciated. I would have been the first to correct a gross mis-understanding like that on anyone's behalf, and the dead silence makes it appear, well, doesn't matter. Don't bother now, just saying (and venting).

...especially you, Dr Tim...by not saying anything in response, you made it look like you agreed that you had been attacked. I was "certain" you were gonna chime in yesterday, but crickets all-around.

No need for any responses, just venting, and moving on...

Oh noooo...no nap?😊 Frank, you always make yourself sound all old and decrepid, like you could be checking out any day now. We both know you look younger than you make yourself sound.😊 I've seen people in their 60's who look decades older, and some in their 70's who look like they're in their young 60's, etc.

That reminds me of something...have you even been walking behind a female, who is thin, with long, full hair, dressed very young, maybe provocatively, and you "know" she is a teen, or very young by how she's dressed, her shoes, and how she's carrying herself, etc.? Then, she turns around, or you get ahead of her, see her face, and she's like in her 60's, and a very rough looking 60's, and you're taken aback with shock?

I've seen many older women like that, and recently, saw some guys acting foolish, thinking they were walking behind some supermodel. She turned her head to smile at them, and you should have seen their faces...it was priceless...ha-ha.

What do you think?

Can you believe; I just got up about 45 minutes ago.

No, I can't believe it since you don't normally get up until around supper time, eat, and then go back to bed until supper time the next day, and repeat.😊

Who knows what went on before time began, but when it comes to any sort of life, especially human, I believe this little, blue planet has always been special, and I don't believe there are any others out there that can, or have ever supported life. When God created the first man and woman, and breathed life into them, I believe they were the first man and woman, and being created in His image, I don't believe aliens of some other sort have ever existed, so I believe the vastness of space, save for this Earth, has always been cold and dead.

Hi Frank,

I used to listen to Walter Martin quite often when I lived in Vegas, but stopped listening to The Bible answer Man shortly after Hanagraaf took over. I didn't agree with everything he said, and he could be impatient with callers, but he was very knowledgable. I still have Kingdom of the Cults, which was a very thorough book on the world's religions.

I really miss question and answer shows like that, and used to look forward to that radio hour.

...it was a joke, my friend, and Dr Tim is well aware of that fact, as are most others. I do understand the mis-understanding though, because if I stopped by your work related forum, I'm sure I would mis-understand certain things being said, without knowing who knows who, and how people interact at times, so honest mistake. I can't remember a time when I've ever attacked anyone here, so you just mis-interpreted some usual humor that goes back and forth at times.

Feel free to reach out to Dr Tim to ask if he felt attacked, or cryed himself to sleep that night. He may have because of his appearance, but not because of anything I said.

A character like Nancy Pelosi, saying, "I pray for this President", is cringe-worthy, as is her snarky reasoning. As usual, she and Schumer use the fake media to mis-lead the American public, who gets all of their news from mainstream media, instead of balancing the sources. They lead the ignorant, low-information voters to believe that Trump is heading a conspiracy against America, throwing childish tantrums during meetings, and that he's some lunatic with mental issues who needs an intervention by family and friends. Why? Because he's sick and tired of their phoney investigations, and now resisting any further nonsense, so now it's become about his being involved in a cover-up. What a joke. I hate politics, but what's gone on since 2016 is unreal. Now, we also have the young progressives who are promoting, and demanding the most outlandish of things, and who shouldn't even be in the positions they are, yet the fake news media outlets treat them like their the new golden children, and faces of future America.

Hi Jim,

Who cares about healthcare in the grand scheme of the progressive liberal madness? The conserative party is hardly without fault, but given their lunacy, if the liberals are ever back in control, this nation will implode.

The liberals have become all about over-the-top political correctness, fully open borders, infantcide at any stage, regardless of perfect health, and the sodomite, trans, non-binary, rise to power. They've gone stark, raving mad, are still raging because they lost their seat of power, and have turned into the most transparently obvious crime syndicate; capable of literally anything to take down a duly elected President. They've spent two years doing absolutely nothing for the American people. Their one and only agenda has been investigating a President, based upon phoney information, the Steel report, that Clinton, herself, paid for, and that everyone knew, and knows is fake. Then, after two years, and a 400 page, Trump never colluded, report, they now accuse him of a cover-up because he's had enough, and refuses to cooperate any longer. What a joke, especially when they know the man was innocent all along. Their nefarious goal is to mislead the American people by using the fake news outlets to do their bidding. A diabolical bunch...

I'm guessing your cave doesn't have any outlets anyway, so it doesn't sound like you've thought your dream through.

"In some of the incidents, the priests mixed their sexual activity with references to Catholic beliefs or committed the acts during Catholic rituals such as confession, according to allegations in affidavits.
In other cases, the priests plied children with drugs such as cocaine, marijuana and alcohol before sexually assaulting them, allege prosecutors and police. In one case, a priest is accused of threatening to kill his victim if the boy reported the abuse."

I wouldn't recommend reading the full article, because it goes into horrid detail at some points. Imagine these Priests, and all of the others who, at the same time, were preaching from a pulpjt, and walking around in their fancy robes, as Christ's "holy representatives". Disgusting. Recently, I heard a Bishop say that when you look at a Priest, you're seeing Jesus. The entire system is a black sludge filled with demons, but hidden from sight by wealth, fancy things, and false claims.

"When I asked God, ‘Why this gift? Why not singing? God said, ‘I promised my people eternal life. How will my people know that I’ve kept promise if you don’t demonstrate your gift?’†she told Rolling Out.

Foster argues that psychic mediumship should be included among the spiritual gifts of the modern Church because James 1:17 teaches that “every good and perfect gift is from above.â€

Such utter delusion. Satan is crafty, subtle, and often creeps in, unaware, and begins to spread his virus, but this isn't subtle or sneaky...it's blatant, and in your face. This "church" warmly accepts this wicked woman, based upon what I quoted above, even going so far as to attribute her powers as gifts from God.

II Thessalonians 2:11,12
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Aside from the abomination of the natural order of things that God set up, they do kill, indirectly, and many even murder. Many carry a life ending disease, and will remain promiscuous, even knowing they are infected. STD's are one thing, but AIDS is still an epidemic that you would think has been all but cured, because political correctness forbids speaking of it any longer, and even physicians are forbidden from telling patients that their lifestyle of choice may very well kill them, and others. I remember the story of one primary care physician, who warned a patient of his, a year or two ago, that his lifestyle may kill him. The patient filed a complaint to the hospital's board, telling them that the Doctor's comment scared him, and disrupted his sleep from worry. The hospital put the Doctor on notice, with a stern warning that he no longer voice such concerns to any of his patients. Crazy day.

Anyway, the sodomites should face legal ramifications for the things they do in secret, because not only are their deeds an abomination of the highest order, but they are spreading death in their wake.

US, your comments to anyone, and on any subject matter, are always kind and gracious. You're consistent, and always respectful, so keep pressing on, because it's a fine example of striving to be Christ-like, and an area that I need to work on my own self. I always admire consistency, because it shows that a person is the real deal.

...for the record, I think Psalms only singing is the safest choice, especially in today's church, but at the same time, I believe that there are many, Spirit inspired, and Spirit-filled, praise and worship songs that are fully acceptable, and perfectly scriptural.

"I can say that it is a wise choice to obey God in his word and sing psalms."

"I would advise you to obey God and sing just the psalms."

"I would say that it is always safe to obey God, especially in the manner of worship."

"So the answer to your question is "yes" to all."

"Does that's help any?" Hmmm...sorry, but I'm not quite sure, because it sounds like you're saying two different things. I'm not trying to be difficult, and probably just mis-understanding you. You said the answer was a blanket, "yes" to my questions, but at the same time, in the three quotes above, you mentioned obeying God, bringing me back to Psalms only singing being a command, as you see it.

I'm just trying to get a grasp on your thoughts and position so I can fully understand them when this topic comes up, and again, not trying to argue, or even promote anything at this point...Just trying to see clearly, because I think we all are mis-understood at times with the way we word things.

Thanks John, but I'm still trying to nail you down, so I'll ask what's below again. I'm not trying to trap you or argue, so please, let's not slip into that. I've already told you that I'm not certain about the topic, and that's the best I can do right now, so quoting, "personal preference", is mis-leading, because it's not a decision I'm promoting, it's my present understanding. I totally agree with you if your position is the latter half of the quote below. I think it would be far safer, and easier to designate Pslams only singing in today's church to keep things on perfect track in that area, rather than having an endless list of all the can do's, and can't do's, and we can sing this, but we can't sing that, etc., not to mention, each member would have their own take on what's acceptable, and what's not, so it would be an endless mess, and constant contention.

What think ye of my thoughts?

"Good morning John, maybe I've been mis-understanding then...is your argument that Psalms singing is a command, or more of a wise choice, sound advice, and always perfectly safe?"

Hi Jim, no, Trudeau and Unplanned have nothing to do with each other, but being staunchly pro-death, I'd have to be convinced that he'd be clueless if asked about the movie. Instead of saying, "Huh? Unplanned?", he'd respond, "Unplanned, eh? No distributors, eh? I ain't gonna be no keener Canuck to no pro-lifers...not in my Canada, eh!"

What will you say to them?"

...I mentioned all of that concerning affliction, to make my point on the Psalms singing, based upon the same logic. "Is any merry...let him sing Psalms". James' first question, and remedy can be, and often should be expanded on, depending upon the affliction, so with that in mind, James' "advice" to pray can't be a strict command from God, as in, anyone who is ever afflicted with anything, is commanded to pray, pray alone, and not seek out any other appropriate treatment.

The point I'm trying to make is that if James' first question, and his answer to that question isn't, and can't be a strict command, logically, then how can his second question pertaining to Psalms singing be taken any different, and in any other way than simple personal preference and wise advice, but nothing more than advice?

I'll be interested in what you think about how I'm viewing it, and wouldn't mind anyone elses thoughts on it. I don't know for certain, but this is how I'm interpreting James 5:13 at the moment.

James 5:13 KJV
(13) Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

Hi John, I'm going against my better judgement getting involved in this, but this will probably be my my only post on the topic anyway. I've been following this conversation today, and I'm still not convinced that it's not a matter of personal preference.

I'd like to break down James 5:13 a bit, as I see it. I'm not interested in arguing with anyone though, just posting up my immediate thoughts.

Overall, I view James 5:13, not as a command from God, but rather as, "This is what I do", sort of advice from James at the time. James: "When I'm afflicted, I pray, and when I feel merry, I sing Psalms...you should try it out".

"Is any among you afflicted...let him pray" Sometimes we can add with common sense, and not be in sin. For example, an affliction can mean countless things, but let's use a physical one for mine: James "recommends" prayer, but is medical attention, and maybe medicine in order as well? This would be adding appropriate common sense to James' words, which I view as his own personal advice, and good advice, but advice that can be expanded upon.
