“ Great Sermon! ”
Believe it or not, there was a time when Harold Camping was a sound teacher. Even as recently as twenty years ago. When I hear Family Radio today, it brings tears to my eyes, remembering how it used to be. What an alternative and a solace it was from the silly, noisy, worldly, and undiscerning mainstream Christian media of the day. It used to be the jewel of sound teaching on the radio waves and Camping was no exception to that. It was under his teaching that I myself was converted. Was it pride? Old age? Misappropriation of Scripture? Whatever it was that derailed Harold Camping off the straight track, I'm praying that on May 22nd he will repent and publically recant of all these heretical teachings that he once did not teach. If there is anyone out there that can relate to this, won't you please also pray that Family Radio will return to being what it once was. Thank You.

Pop music is just another expression of the spirit of the age. Sometimes it's depressing and sometimes it's sinful. As a Christian I never found any of it uplifting or edifying and much of it is polluting to the soul and therefore a complete waste of time. CCM doesn't seem to be much of an alternative either. Just a waste of time.

Sermon:
Was C. S. Lewis an Evangelical?
Rev David Silversides

comments
“ Thank You ”
Thank You Rev. Silversides for making a highly unpopular statement that needed to be made regarding having a proper perspective of C.S. Lewis and his writings. And in response to the previous comment, it is not necessary to present a balanced view of anyone who's "bad" teachings and beliefs are on a fundamental level, such as Lewis's denial of biblical inerrancy. When one's errors are of such an essential nature, whatever "good" he may teach is academic at best, or alluring toward damnable heresies at worst, as all teachings or teachers do that mix truth with fatal error.

Jimmy Carter, who does not believe that an individual needs to be a Christian to go to heaven is not a Christian. He does not come with the doctrine of Christ (2 Jn 9-10)and therefore I would that any true Christian that is fellowshipping with him, to cut that fellowship off and have nothing more to do with him. the exhortation of the apostle Paul in Romans 16 regarding apparent apostates such as Jimmy Carter is that we are to "mark them" and "avoid them". Nothing else. It is such as these that bring division into the body of Christ.

Spurgeon once said that "as for the universal cant of charity that is so prevalent in these days, I stand at arm's length, I care not for it. Let us instead, speak of these things as we find them." (IE Let us call a spade a spade.) While I see no reason to be unduly harsh, niether is it profitable for anyone, saint or sinner, to resort to positivism or self fladulation. That kind of preaching won't convict a flea. God richly bless the Free Presbyterian Church. We should all have such backbone!!

Vogue,
In responding to your posts I have thus far not entered into any personal assaults against you, but you have accused me of being a racist and on top of that you have called me a liar. Based on this I'm beginning to wonder if you have been regenerated at all. Do you read your bible, or does it perilously sit on your bookshelf collecting dust on its cover to the point where you can (as Spurgeon used to say)write the word DAMNATION on it.
Stop trying to examine me, and start examining yourself, to see whether or not you are even in the faith.

You all say that you are Christians but you don't sound like what a Christian is suppose to be. You all are some of the best reasons why people like me don't want to be a Christian. If you are a reflection of your god's thinking then we don't need a devil, he will do.
Please sir/maam, and I say this respectfully, don't kid yourself. The real reason that you don't want to be a Christian is because you love your sin, and therefore you hate Christ.

Do not assume that I have been listening to a host of right wing media. I make it a policy not to fill my head from ear to ear with politics, but to think upon the things exhorted by the apostle Paul in Php.4:8. The jist of Marxism is social justice(so-called) by means of the redistribution of wealth. While this is not the only tenet of Marxism, it is the fundamental driving principle of it.
I learned about Marxism from my social studies teacher 30 years ago, when the public school system wasn't quite as worthless as it is now, and I was able to recognize it in Mr. Obama's economic policies. This I heard coming out of his own mouth. By the way, I have black brothers and sisters in the Lord, whom I count dear, who also agree with everything that I have stated regarding this man, so don't even imagine that I'm a racist. My people are not black people or white people. My people are those who hear the Word of God, and obey it! My people are those who take their stand against the abounding iniquity and the ever darkening apostasy of our day, going forth unto Christ outside the camp (Heb.13:13) bearing His reproach. Those are my people! Like I said before, I hope I'm wrong about him, but I highly doubt it.

Obama will be an awesome President! He will restore the status of the US and build relationships with our Allies and bring about better communications even with our enemies. I'm VERY confident of his abilities. However, my complete trust is not in a human being, but in Almighty God who alone is the Sovereign Ruler of the Universe!
I hope I'm wrong concerning Obama. I would like to see him do good . But he is a Marxist. And unless he relents from implementing his Marxist plans, he will fail and drive the final stake into the American way of life. Having sat under the marxist, social justice (so called) revolution preaching of that vile apostate, Jeremiah Wright, it is hardly likely that we are going to see anything good from this man. It especially breaks my heart that there are Christians who fell for his empty rhetoric, and helped push him to victory. John McCain was not much of an alternative, but I would rather have a John McCain that did nothing than a Barack Obama will do the evil that he would. As I'm writing this I'm looking at my 2 boys....and I pity them for what awaits them in the future. I pity all of America's children. Hopefully I will not be vindicated on these statements. I seriously doubt that though.

Many Christians, including myself, have experiential knowledge of that very principle (the love of sin)descibed in John 3:19-20. I was made very aware of my sin and the condemnation that awaited me and that salvation was available in Christ and that i needed to repent and have faith in Christ. I trembled at the Word of God. But I would not come to Christ, because I loved my fornication, and my drugs and my rock-n-roll too much. What wonderous love that hunted me down and brought me, by His grace, to repentance and faith. Truly does He "save His people from their sins" as His namesake is described in the Scriptures. Matt.1:21 Hallelujiah!!!

This country deserves Barack Obama, and it is now getting what it deserves.
-shameless sexual uncleanness
-the unrequited blood of 50 million unborn babies
-a Godless and worthless system of public education
and all thanks to the scores of Christless ministers filling the Christless pulpits of our evangelical and mainline churches over the past 120 yrs. May God greatly restrain the heart of this king.
Please....Pray....For ....Revival....In....The....Church!!!!

“ Great Sermon! ”
The evangelical world can ill afford to lose the likes of Dr. Paisley. I pray that God will raise up several Ian Paisleys as leaders for the evangelical, fundamental and reform churches in America. Christianity in America is entering into an acutely dark stage in its history, and where are the the leaders that will stand AGAINST the ever abounding iniquity, and ever darkening apostasy of our time??? God BLESS Ian Paisley!!

“ Great Sermon! ”
Saw the other day, -A Jesus fish on a car with an Obama sticker next to it. -A descending dove with the name of a non-denominational denomination that came out of the Jesus movement of the 1960's on a car, with an Obama sticker next to it. -A car with a pro-life license plate.....and an Obama sticker next to it. Many Christians in America are now seeking the economy first and hoping that God's kingdom will be added unto it. Lord have mercy on this nation, especially the church that is within her!! Thank you Rev. Foster for a most edifying message. I repent!!

ANOTHER PROBLEM IN THE CHURCH REGARDING THESE MATTERS COME FROM THOSE WHO WANT TO COVER FOR THOSE EVANGELICALS THAT OPENLY AND SHAMELESSLY FELLOWSHIP WITH THE CHURCH OF ROME AND APOSTATE PROTESTANTISM, INSTEAD OF CALLING COLSON, GRAHAM, PACKER, ETC., TO REPENTANCE AND SEPERATING FROM THEM UNTIL THEY DO REPENT.
