Well, John, thanks for showing your true colors and proving my point. In one post you say, and I quote, “Whenever the Diotrophean spirit manifests itself on the forum, it will inevitably accuse others, because it is in its own interest to do so.” And what do you do in the very next post? Why, accuse others, of course. You are such a blind hypocrite that I suppose you can’t see that you yourself are guilty of the very thing you charge me with. Anyway, slash on, John Quixote. Your little rubber sword can’t do any damage. I have things to do, and they don’t include chasing after fleas, so you’ll just have to carry on the best you can all by yourself. Adios, amoeba.
Where there is no grace in the exhortation, there is no grace in the exhorter. This applies worldwide, in every country, to every man.

Do the maths, Tim.

Going to ring off for now and go find some sinners to psychologically manipulate with the Bible. 😅
The problem is, Tim, that is exactly what you do. You do not believe that the Spirit of God successfully brings God's elect to faith, and so you have to convince sinners of the gospel yourself, using all sorts of emotional appeals. It is no different to the psychological manipulation used by crusade preachers, with all the "just as I am..." music and soothing tones of the preacher, and the peer pressure [of so-called Christians getting up out of their chair to go to the front, as if they were repenting sinners themselves, thereby trying to encourage others to do the same, not relying on the Spirit of God but manipulation of the mind].

The gospel is the gospel of God's marvellous grace. It is an irresistible grace, and it is amazing grace. And it is for the whole world to hear, and the elect to respond to. The gospel is God calling his elect.

Romans 8:30 KJV
(30)  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

It amazes me that you can take divine things and laugh about them, as though it is all a big joke.

Now I really must go make some breakfast. But before I do, I just want to say something to Mike NY.

Good morning brother! I hope your day will be good and profitable, and the Holy Spirit fill you to overflowing, and peace be your portion, which is your inheritance in Christ Jesus, along with eternal life, which you received by faith in Jesus Christ.

It is a terrible thing.

And if Tim wishes to disagree with me, please go ahead and disagree. It is your human right to disagree, as it is my human right to make the statement.

It's okay. The Lord Jesus Christ was persecuted, therefore his followers will be persecuted. He said it, and it will happen. It's not happening in a serious way everywhere, but all those who live godly in Christ will suffer persecution of some sort.

Why are so many Christian leaders/pastors referencing below verse in Roman's 13 to justify submission to tyrannical rule. What happens if the leaders are turning good for evil and evil for good becoming a terror, ignoring Constitutions that protect freedoms, legalizing perversion, murder of babies and other abominable sins while making it a criminal offence to even say as such. Would we have a New Testament today in our own language if there wasn't a resistance and opposition to wicked rulers by Godly men who feared God more than men.
Roman's 13 1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Absolutely John.
I met some of the Chinese folks when I worked abroad. And yes God overcomes the millions of sinners the Remnant are surrounded by.
Why just look at that dark satanic lot you have all round you — Satan is definitely the real prince of England.
But the Lord helps His servants to persevere in this fallen world. Without His help we would be sunk. Deep.
Our Chinese brothers are in an extremely difficult situation, with communist ideology hostile and opposed to all Christian evidence in societies.
This is part of the battle the spiritual battle which God provides the armour for and the weapons of our warfare. In the U.K. we have an “easier” time of it. But China and other parts of the world show us a possible future fighting in a country with Overwhelming satanic ‘isms.
Praise be to God for our relatively peaceful existence for now.
But what does the future hold for the growing ‘isms around today?
But God will overcome.
God Bless.
Even Wales has gone, Adriel. There was once a great revival here, the effects of which were reported in the newspapers every day of the week. Now all that is left is religion. Hymns are still very popular, even at Rugby matches, but it is all a sham.

You can preach it, John, but it’s obvious you can’t practice it. I make a motion that we rename the site John D. (as in Diotrophes) Lee Audio. That way you can have your imperious way without having to deal with us peons.
Whenever the Diotrophean spirit manifests itself on the forum, it will inevitably accuse others, because it is in its own interest to do so. The real Diotrophes is the one who not only does not accept the theology, practice, or posts, of those who disagree with him or her, but makes every effort to sarcastically prevent him or her from posting their thoughts and claims. This is the psychological manipulation and power struggle they are engaged with, which is contrary to Christianity. But there is never any acknowledgment of that, of course not; pride prevents. And so Diotrophes goes on his merry way, even looking to evangelical feminists for support, and all the time, people are put off attending IFB churches and Joyce Meyer concerts.

Now me myself, I am happy to believe in freedom of speech, which the communists and Diotrophes do not believe in, and so they try to prevent me. But they forget I am a freedom fighter, and I will fight for their right to act ungodly like.

The Christian Institute, LGBT rights campaigner Peter Tatchell and Amnesty International have all urged Northern Ireland to avoid Scotland’s example as the province prepares to conclude its long-running review into hate crime legislation.

A public consultation on the issue closed in April and retired judge Desmond Marrinan is due give his report to the Department of Justice later this month. However, new legislation is not expected before May 2022.

Speaking to the NewsLetter, Tatchell said the NI review had to “learn from the mistakes” of the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Bill. ...
____________

Adriel, you got this one taped.

The Lord looks on, seeing all things, hearing all things, even secret things spoken in secret, and knows all that is in the human heart, all the secrets lurking there; he knows the past, the present, the future; he knows those who are his, and he knows who they are who are not his; he knows his friends and he knows his enemies; he knows the edifiers and he knows the destroyers; he knows those who love and he knows those who hate.

The Day of Judgment reveals all.

Yes, amen Adriel.

I remember in the early 80's when a large group of young Chinese brothers and sisters came to live and work in Rugby, England, and they had accommodation just over the road from the church I attended at that time. As they joined with us for worship and fellowship, I got to know them a little, and noticed their very evident spirituality, despite living in a very contrary country.

Oho, John Quixote delivers a death blow to the windmill of Yee Ha-ism, a dragon that he alone can perceive! His mum must think him so very dear, running about in his knee-length trousers and challenging floor lamps to a sword fight. Ah, to be such a man, a legend in his own mind. Cheerio, Gasbag. I may not tarry thus with thee.
Watcher, you might notice how Tim signs off on this convo, with mocking and scorning, designed to hurt and make me feel bad. This is what he does, instead of saying, "God bless you brother." So you are quite right to say he is an immature man, and a poor representative of Christ, claiming to be an ambassador of him, and professing faith.

The advice of Jesus to those who suffer persecution and hatred, from those who come on the forum merely to argue and upset, despite the fact that they are actually being loved and spoken to by God through his people, is most helpful.

Luke 6:23 KJV
(23)  Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

The Bible says we ought to edify one another, and exhort one another, and love one another. Tim says, "No chance!"

Thanks for the laughs...
Ecclesiastes 7:5-6 KJV
(5)  It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.
(6)  For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.

Tim, I have noticed that you regard yourself so highly, that there are none wiser than yourself. And this is how IFB's are. They mock, in the vain hope that others will bow their heads and walk away crying. This is not the way of the Christian.

Sarcasm may have its place in life, but in your case it is a way OF life. You try to laugh your way through a convo, as though it were a game that children play. In this, Watcher is most correct, there is no evidence of maturity in the faith of Christ. Little wonder that the IFB churches are going to the dogs if you are setting the example to any young ones in your congregation.

And instead of evaluating yourself and taking steps to remedy and make improvements, you try to shore up your ego and maintain a high position, laughing as you go, on your way to being a disappointment to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Joy in the Lord is wonderful, but your laughter is as the crackling of thorns in a fire. Do please think about it.

No, John, of course I don’t want anyone to bow down to me. It’s funny that my sarcasm is unacceptable, but your sarcasm, accusations and insults are perfectly all right. But of course that’s because unlike the rest of us, you obey God. Always.
Tim, the difference between me and you is that if I was to hearken to you, I would become a psychological manipulator and Yee Ha preacher just like you, and there would be no benefit. But if you were to hearken to me, your cultural mannerisms, which are not in accord with God's word, would melt away and be replaced with love, concern, and the sort of grace which can only come from the Spirit, whereby the undeserving receive mercy and sound counsel, and such other things as tend to an increase in Christ-likeness, along with the associated increase of peace and joy and contentment, through which eventually the militant tendency would be eradicated, and denominational superiority would disappear, and at last the Christian life would emerge as it really is, namely, righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

This is what I wish for you, Tim.

But you are like a bear with a thorn.

Why don’t all the America-hating turkeys display their moral superiority by insisting that their governments refuse to accept American dollars and American volunteers when their own countries are up the creek without a paddle? And of course since you, unlike Americans, are eager to be corrected, you will bow down and thank me profusely for my incisive comments, right? Sure.
You want someone to bow down to you?

Well whoever he is, if he is following Jesus Christ, he will not bow down to you nor to any other Yee Ha Preacher. The technique might work in weird churches, where weird people wish to be a part of the clique, but in the real world it is like water off a duck's back to those who are seeking to obey scripture and worship only God. Sure.

I would like to say more, but I really must go make breakfast, as I've not eaten since about 9pm yesterday.

I greatly believe in freedom of speech. And communists do not believe in freedom of speech.

Did someone say there were reds under the bed? They were correct.

And then there is psychological manipulation, which some produce at times like this, because it works in their weird churches and effectively snuffs out dissent. But it never really works in the real world, especially with folks who believe in loving others and seeking their good.

A bear with a thorn never appreciates help.

With freedom of speech, I am able to say that I have observed some here who give the impression there is no need for them, on any subject or trait of character, to make big improvements, either to their theology or outward working of their theology. Thusly, they reserve the right to harshly disagree with anyone who disagrees with them. In this, they are very much like Muslims, and if you do not turn around and agree with them, you never will be a part of their clique.

It's a bit like gang warfare on the streets of the city.

Oh but surely it is a Christian forum? Sure, it is a place where Christians come to learn how not to get angry or upset.

Yes it is true bro. A practising Muslim is not an extremist but a normal Muslim. In the UK the majority of people will never realise this, because if they will not even read the Bible through once due to lack of interest, they certainly will not read the Koran.

Mike, I will drink to that. Clean water of course, or some carrot juice. I haven't had the flu or a common cold since giving up drinking cow milk (2008), which of course is designed by God to be drunk by little cows not humans.

BTW if anyone wants to try it out, but really need some milk in their tea or coffee, do try what I use, which is Alpro Soya. It is very nice, and can be used in cereals also, or drunk on its own.

The difference is that God's guidelines contribute to the benefit and improvement of societies...
Of course. If any person accepts, believes in, and obeys the word of God, society will be greatly benefited and they will improve in character.

The problem is, how does that work out in practice, say, in the UK?

I ask how, because the majority are not Christian, and therefore they are most unwilling to follow God's guidelines.

As for the ones that are Christians, it is a historical fact that many improvements in society were made by Christians who were following the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Now this is exactly what I am talking about, individuals or groups of Christians benefiting others through charitable works. Call it wealth-sharing if you like. A rich Christian can supply a hundred educational books, another Christian can loan their small building, and another wealthy Christian can give of their time and serve in the newly formed library. But why call that by a manmade name, when it is biblical Christianity for the rich to help the poor?

Starving families can be supported by others who are well off. Yes, biblical and wonderful.

But there's not much of it about.
