I think that some religious people see politics as a "dirty" thing which Christians should not get involved with. It is not!
What it is; - Is the method by which we govern the nations. God is a part of government and in Romans 13 we see HIM making a statement about the authority of government in society. Do not "despise government"
2Peter 2:10
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Remember GOD's advice:-
1Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. :#:#:
How would Christ have voted?
