Salvation isn't based on Calvin, who actually was Arminian, or Arminius. ( "It is true that Saint John says generally, that he loved the world. And why? For Jesus Christ offers himself generally to all men without exception to be their redeemer." Calvin). Christ isn't an offer, He is the Surety for His sheep.
Salvation is based on the completed finished work of Christ alone, given as a gift by God through grace...no work, no law keeping, no decision, no accepting an offer, no infant baptism, no repenting of sin in order to earn merit, no conditions whatsoever. "And if by grace, it is no longer from works; otherwise grace no longer would be grace." Romans 11

Hey Tim, I hope you will consider what I gave you. I know we have had differences in the past, and I want to apologize to you for my rudeness towards you.
I know sister MS and I have given a list of sermon recommendations on another thread, I hope you may consider listening to one or two of them.  |
