1) Be sure that you have the latest version of the Transfer Agent downloaded. That version is 3.0a.
2) Typically, problems like this are a classic case of some other program (running on your computer) that may be interfering with the Transfer Agent. Usually it's a problem related to a firewall program or some other sort of "blocking" program that may be running. Please try disabling any such programs temporarily and try again. Also, please be sure that cookies are properly enabled on your computer and browser.
3) If you are on dialup and have any kind of "accelerator" program running, PLEASE DISABLE all such "accelerator" programs as they are notorious for interfering with these types of programs.
Let me know if you're still having trouble getting this going.
If you take longer than 30 minutes to type in a comment, then this will cause the current "image validation" to expire. Otherwise, the only other issue is if cookies are not properly set in the browser or if there is a "blocking" program running that interferes with the cookies.
Image validation is becoming a necessity in this day and age of spambots flooding guestbooks and forums with "advertisements" posts, etc.
Michael, we do *not* recommend using any kind of "download-enhancing" program at all. It has been our experience that they tend to interfere with the downloading process and cause more problems than anything. Please disable this program and any other program that may possibly be interfering with the site and try again. Thank you.
Michael, do not try to right-click/save-as on the link. Simply click normally on the link and try again. Also, please do peruse through our HELP page as many people have found solutions to their audio problems there: www.sermonaudio.com/help
Thank you to all who write in with encouraging reports of how the Lord has used the preaching found here to edify, instruct, and bless in your lives. We pray that this witness will continue to touch many lives as we believe it is only with the "foolishness of preaching" that God is pleased to save them that believe.
Please do help us in this effort by visiting us often! And spread sermons you have enjoyed to friends and family who may also benefit from them.
Oswald, this may simply be a case of a connection problem. Even a momentary problem could create this effect. If you're consistently having this issue, our recommendation would be to first *download* the MP3 of the sermon, and then play it from your local hard drive.
This sounds like a classic case of some other program (running on your computer) that may be interfering with the Transfer Agent. Usually it's a problem related to a firewall program or some other sort of "blocking" program that may be running. Please try disabling any such programs temporarily and try again. Also, please be sure that cookies are properly enabled on your computer and browser.
This is nothing new with some MP3 players because they are designed for music and not really for voice-only audio. That's a shame because it's not only SERMONS they will not play but other voice-audio (say, from audible.com)..
Some options are: (1) Contact your manufacturer and see if they have a firmware upgrade to play lower-bitrate MP3s.. (2) Convert the MP3s from our site to a higher-bitrate MP3 (there are many tools you can find in Google to convert MP3s).. or (3) Purchase another MP3 player. There are lots available that play our sermons well (ie: iPod, Creative MP3 Players, Rio, etc).
That is correct. There was a 20-minute timeout for the validation number. But we have extended it to 30 minutes. Does it take longer than that to write a post?
The validation number is a necessary "evil" that we were forced to introduce on all public forms on the site in order to combat the plague of spambots making the rounds on the net spamming guestbooks, email-to forms, and discussion forums.
You do not need to "un-install" the Web Radio Tray Tool as it never was "installed" to begin with. It is simply a standalone EXE program that you can delete from wherever you saved it when you first downloaded it. Many thanks!
We appreciate the support and help of all who use the site. We are doing our best to keep the site running as smoothly as humanly possible. Having said that, it's somewhat of a challenge for us to be monitoring the site hour upon hour (let alone the complete 24-hours-a-day). This is why we rely on our visitors to help us with the "report abuse" link when absolutely applicable. Thank you for your patience.
